What happened when a mole suddenly appeared on a child’s face?

There is melanin in the human body. If melanin is no longer playing a role, the hair of the human body will probably turn white instead of black. Melanin can actually cause certain harm to the human body. For example, it accumulates on the surface of the skin and forms moles or spots over time. Some children suddenly have moles on their faces. What is the reason for moles to suddenly appear on children's faces?

Regarding the color of moles, there are generally 5 situations:

If it is a black mole, don't worry. It is formed by the aggregation of melanocytes in the skin. It doesn't matter whether it is born with you or acquired.

Red moles are usually caused by the proliferation and aggregation of capillaries. A small number of them may disappear on their own, while others will continue to grow;

If the mole is a large area of light gray-green color without protrusion, this is what we usually call "Mongolian blue spot", which is commonly seen on the buttocks and backs of infants. It is also a manifestation of pigment aggregation and does not need to be treated. It usually disappears on its own after the baby is a few years old.

If it is a dark brown or light brown mole, it may be pigmentation, which is also seen in some neurological diseases;

White moles are caused by loss of pigmentation and are seen in genetic diseases and some fungal infections.

In fact, most moles do not require additional treatment. What mothers really need to pay close attention to are the following four situations:

A black mole that is asymmetrical in shape, with varying shades of color, irregular borders, a diameter greater than 5 mm, and continues to grow rapidly. This has the potential to become malignant and requires medical attention;

There are more than 6 brown moles on the body, with a diameter greater than 5 mm, and there are symptoms such as developmental delay and convulsions. This may be a manifestation of a neurological disease and you need to go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible;

A red, nodular, soft mole that protrudes from the surface of the skin and grows on the head and face. This is often a hemangioma, and it is easy to be combined with a hemangioma in the nervous system. This type of huge epidermal hemangioma also needs to be treated in a timely manner;

If a huge mole affects your appearance, you can first go to a dermatologist to evaluate the situation and choose the time for intervention. Generally, beautification treatment will be performed during school age.
