Can children drink soda?

In the past two years, people seem to have become interested in soda water because from a health perspective, soda water does bring some benefits to the body and can also promote health. As we all know, soda water is alkaline, so you need to pay attention to some things when drinking it. Not everyone can drink it. So the question is, can children drink soda water?

Can children drink soda?

Can't. Whether it is natural soda water or soda pop, it is for adults to drink and is not suitable for children, especially those under three years old.

1. Children should not drink natural soda water

Because soda water mainly contains weak alkaline substances, it is beneficial for regulating the acidic physique. Generally, after becoming an adult, the body will be more or less acidic, so drinking soda water is beneficial. As for children, their bodies are still in a stage of growth and development, and they generally do not need to drink soda water. Drinking it will make the body alkaline.

Moreover, there are many trace elements in soda water, and children's stomachs and intestines are not yet developed. If children drink too much, it may affect their absorption of calcium and affect their bone development. Therefore, it is best for children not to drink or drink less soda water.

2. Children should not drink soda.

Most of the soda water sold on the market is an artificially synthesized carbonated beverage that is made by pressing carbon dioxide into purified drinking water and adding sweeteners and flavors. It is not recommended to drink this kind of beverage, as drinking too much will do no good.

Soda drinks are high in phosphorus, so they can speed up the loss of calcium from the body, just as sodium and caffeine do. If you drink soda water in large quantities for a long time, it may cause osteoporosis. At the same time, the phosphorus in soda water can also cause certain damage to teeth. Tooth loss, periodontal disease, and gingivitis are all related to excessive phosphorus intake, especially phosphorus from soft drinks.

In addition, there are very confusing soda drinks on the market. Most of these drinks contain a lot of sugar and pigments. Drinking too much of them not only has no benefits, but may also cause obesity.
