What to do if your child has white spots on his body

Every child is a treasure in a family. It is inevitable that he will have various problems during his growth, including physical ones. Because children are young and are in the growth and development period, their immunity is not as good as that of adults, so they are more susceptible to diseases. For example, if they have small white spots on their bodies, what should we do? Today, let’s learn about this issue together, why do children have small white spots on their bodies.

Because children's bodies are in the developmental stage and their immunity is weak, during the treatment of vitiligo, we should pay attention to the toxic and side effects of drugs, use them cautiously and reasonably, and protect the physical and mental health and normal physical development of the children; actively find and eliminate possible inducing factors to avoid aggravation of the disease; while taking biological repigmentation therapy, integrate psychological treatment and strengthen care. The treatment plan should be formulated and implemented under the specific guidance of a doctor to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the treatment.

Vitiligo in children has the following characteristics: 1. Age of onset: the shortest onset is 3 days after birth, and the average age of onset is four to five years old; 2. It is more common in girls; 3. The segmental type is more common, followed by the localized type; 4. The eyes are easily affected; 5. The incidence of halo nevus is as high as 8.5%; 6. It is easy to cause isomorphic reaction after trauma; 7. Obvious gastrointestinal dysfunction.

The diagnostic symptoms of vitiligo in children are mostly the same as those in adults. At the beginning, there are punctate or lamellar hypopigmented spots, one or several patches. Because the melanin is not completely lost, they appear pale white and the boundary with normal skin is not very clear. As the lesions gradually expand, the melanin is completely lost, and the lesions appear milky white or porcelain white, clearly demarcated from normal skin.

Younger children often do not have complex mental activities because their consciousness is not yet fully formed. Their cognitive development is still relatively low, they are basically unconscious, and their thinking is at the stage of intuitive action. Therefore, it is impossible for them to understand the disease. Their response to the illness may sometimes be understood and reflected upon by sensing their parents' fear, anxiety, anger, and sadness. They interpret their condition as a loss of parental care, which can lead to anger, worry, and behavioral regression.

From the above, we can learn what to do and the reasons for the small white spots on children. In fact, this is also a relatively common disease, but the disease is not scary. Medical conditions are so advanced now. Besides, as long as parents pay attention to it early and actively cooperate with the treatment, if the disease is discovered early, the treatment will be more advantageous and the children will recover faster.
