When the fever is high, physical antipyretic methods can be used to reduce the temperature. When the cough is severe, take children's cough syrup. Generally, children with measles will gradually recover after a few days (3 days for the rash to appear and 3 days for it to disappear), as long as there are no other complications.

For weak and sick infants and young children who have not received measles vaccination, giving them intramuscular injection of human immunoglobulin or placental globulin within 5 days after exposure to the measles virus can reduce the possibility of measles.
