What to do if your child keeps drooling

If a child drools constantly, parents should pay attention, especially for children over one year old, because the child's swallowing function and nervous system development are relatively good at this time. If this situation occurs again, it is often related to spleen and stomach deficiency. If the child catches a cold at this time, it will cause stomach cold and lead to such phenomenon. Parents should pay more attention to diet. Let's take a look at this aspect.

What to do if your child keeps drooling

First of all, drooling caused by spleen and stomach deficiency is also a common problem for most babies.

1. Method 1 to cure baby's drooling: Boil 3 slices of ginger and 8 grams of licorice in water and give it to your baby to drink once during the day. It will be effective in about a week. Ginger warms the spleen and dispels cold, which is quite strong. Licorice just neutralizes it, making ginger warm but not dry.

2. Method 2 to cure baby's drooling: Feed your baby some spleen-strengthening foods, such as lamb, leeks, peanuts, walnuts, etc. The effect time may be slightly longer.

3. The third method to cure baby drooling: use convenient and effective pediatric massage. You don’t have to worry about the baby being unwilling to take the medicine. It can also promote the mother-child relationship. This is Tao Ma’s favorite method. Beautiful mothers, come and learn together. There are 5 steps in total, and you can easily solve the problem of your baby's drooling. Divide yin and yang 200-300 times; clear spleen and earth 200-300 times; clear heart meridian 200-300 times; replenish kidney water (push from the tip of the little finger into the palm, the kidney position can only be replenished!) 100-200 times; push the six internal organs 200-300 times. It will take about a week to see the effect. Tao Ma's sister-in-law tried it and it worked very well. The baby stopped drooling on the fifth day.

4. Method 4 to cure baby drooling: Play some small games to increase the baby's ability to close the mouth, such as brushing the baby's teeth; use your mouth to grab food that is not easy to tear apart with the baby, such as beef jerky, squid shreds, etc. How long it will take to be effective remains to be verified.

Why do babies drool?

Generally, babies will drool after four or five months. The swallowing function of babies a few months old is not fully developed, so the remaining saliva in the mouth will flow out, which is what we see as drooling. Most of the time, babies drool because of weak spleen and stomach. Pay attention to the baby's thin white tongue coating, clear saliva, and it always wets the chest. It’s the same situation as Tao Ma’s sister-in-law’s daughter.

For example, if the baby has a sore or ulcer in the mouth, or other oral diseases, the baby will drool. This situation will naturally stop as the baby's oral disease improves. In this case, drinking pear soup, watermelon juice, etc. is particularly good for reducing internal heat.
