Baby crying with eyes closed at night

Baby crying with eyes closed at night

Many new mothers are caught off guard by some of the baby’s actions when taking care of their babies. They don’t know what’s going on. Many babies have experienced this phenomenon when they were sleeping well at night, but suddenly burst into tears. Often the baby still closes his eyes when crying like this. This phenomenon is a normal phenomenon in many cases.

1. Immature development of brain nerves

Human sleep is divided into deep sleep and light sleep, which alternate about 3-4 hours at night. Similarly, for infants and young children, when the alternation between deep sleep and light sleep cannot be adjusted, they will cry or wake up during this period. Especially for babies with higher excitability of nervous system, their physiological maturity tends to be later and they are prone to sleep disturbance. When the baby is unable to adjust the alternation between deep and light sleep by himself, especially at four or five months old, as the nervous system develops and the cerebral cortex becomes active, his sleep will be worse than when he was a child and he will wake up more often.

2. Playing too much before going to bed

Set up a routine for your baby and follow it to go to bed on time. 0.5 to 1 hour before the baby goes to sleep, the baby should be calmed down. Do not play too excitedly before going to bed, and do not tease the baby excessively. This prevents your baby from having difficulty falling asleep due to being too excited or nervous. Create a good sleeping environment for your baby: suitable room temperature and dim light.

3. Lack of trace elements

Low blood calcium levels can increase the excitability of the brain and autonomic nerves, causing the baby to sleep restlessly at night. Therefore, it is recommended to see a doctor to check for trace elements to see if there is a deficiency and which ones are deficient. In addition, you should also insist on supplementing your baby with vitamin AD.

4. Indigestion, indigestion, getting angry or eating too much at night

Food accumulation, indigestion, and overeating can all lead to disturbed sleep. It is recommended to feed porridge, noodles and other solid foods at least two or three hours before going to bed. Generally, a little milk is enough for the baby before going to bed. In addition, many mothers will think that their babies are hungry when they see them wake up crying at night, and then feed them. In fact, this is a very bad habit. Doing so will instead cause the baby to develop the habit of wanting to breastfeed when he wakes up at night.
