Child drooling under Bart Red

Child drooling under Bart Red

Although many parents know that drooling is a common physiological reaction of babies, they will not pay much attention to their babies' saliva. When saliva flows onto the chin, it will cause the chin to be wet for a long time. Therefore, over time, the chin will become very red and swollen, and it is possible that the chin will be soaked with vaginal fluid. Parents should pay attention to wipe the baby's saliva in time to avoid the saliva affecting the health of the facial skin.

How to take care of your baby's drooling

The baby is drooling and his clothes are soaked. Should the mother keep wiping the drool from this little thing? Of course that's impossible. When your baby is drooling, mothers can use the following methods to care for the baby.

1. Wipe it in time. Once the baby starts drooling, the mother should wipe it off immediately with a clean towel. Because the baby's skin is relatively tender, be careful when wiping, it is best to apply it with a damp cloth. The small towel you choose should also be a soft, absorbent cotton handkerchief.

2. Wash the areas where saliva flows frequently with warm water and apply moisturizer or oil to protect the baby's delicate skin.

3. When the baby drools, his clothes, pillows, bedding, etc. will get wet. Therefore, the baby's clothes should be changed frequently to prevent the growth of bacteria. Pillows, bedding, etc. should also be washed and dried frequently, and dried in the sun to sterilize.

4. If you want to reduce the number of times you wash clothes, you might as well let your baby wear a bib to prevent saliva from staining clothes. In fact, mothers can also make simple bibs by themselves, but they should choose soft and absorbent cotton products.

5. When your baby is drooling, don't always pinch his chubby cheeks when playing with him. This will stimulate the secretion of the salivary glands and aggravate the baby's drooling.

How to treat baby drooling

For drooling symptoms caused by physical diseases of the baby, mothers should discover it in time and let the baby receive treatment in time. Generally, when a baby drools, mothers can consider having the baby receive traditional Chinese medicine treatment. Traditional Chinese medicine treatment has few side effects and will not harm the baby's health. So how do you treat baby drooling?

In traditional Chinese medicine theory, there are two reasons that cause drooling. One is the accumulation of heat in the spleen and stomach. Because the Lianquan point is the path of body fluid, if the child's spleen and stomach are damp and heat, the Lianquan point cannot be controlled and saliva will flow out continuously. At this time, the baby's symptoms may include drooling from the corners of the mouth, thick saliva, and even red corners of the mouth, short and red urine, dry stool, red face, red tongue, thick yellow tongue coating, and purple fingerprints. The treatment method is to clear away heat, dry dampness and purge the spleen. It can be treated with Qingrexiepi Powder.

Another reason is cold spleen and stomach. The baby's spleen and stomach are weak and cold, which causes the baby to be unable to control his saliva and keep flowing out. Babies with weak spleen and stomach will have thin saliva, and also have symptoms such as clear and long urine, pale face, thin white tongue coating, and light red fingerprints. The treatment method is to use "Zhang Huan Wenpi Decoction" with added ingredients: cloves, costus root, pinellia, atractylodes, dried ginger, alpinia oxyphylla, and lindera scabra.

In addition, herbal remedies can also be used. If you boil dendrobium in water and add green fruit, the effect will be better and it can be taken for 5 to 7 days. Or you can take 3 grams of ginger and 6 grams of licorice, decoct them in water and drink it until you get better.
