The so-called enuresis is what we often call bed-wetting. Children will urinate involuntarily when they sleep at night. When they wake up the next morning, they find that their pants and bed are wet. This phenomenon is very common in children. Most of them are primary enuresis, and a small number of children will have secondary enuresis. In comparison, secondary enuresis is more serious. So what are the causes of enuresis in children? What is the reason for enuresis in children? 1. Genetic factors: If one of the parents has a history of enuresis, the child has a 44% chance of developing hereditary enuresis; if both parents have a history of enuresis, the genetic probability is 75%. This happens mostly in boys. 2. Diseases and physiological factors: Urinary tract infection, kidney disease, local inflammation of the urethral orifice, spina bifida, spinal cord injury, sacral nerve dysfunction, epilepsy, incomplete brain development, small bladder capacity, etc. may all cause enuresis, but the proportion of enuresis caused by disease is relatively small. 3. Mental factors: including children being too tired or overly excited from playing during the day; strong mental stimulation, such as being frightened; anxiety, nervousness, and being scolded or even physically punished by parents after occasional bed-wetting. 4. Improper urination habit training: Children are not given timely urination training. For example, some mothers use disposable diapers for their children for too long, so that the children cannot develop the habit of controlling their urination. There is no habit of asking children to urinate in the middle of the night. Some careless mothers wake up their children at night and let them sit on the potty and play while urinating. However, the children are just playing on the potty and not urinating. In this way, it is not easy for them to associate urination with sitting on the potty and form a reflex. 5. The child sleeps too deeply: Generally speaking, children who wet the bed sleep very deeply at night and are not easy to wake up, and they may not even know that they have wet the bed. When there is urine in the bladder, the urge to urinate cannot be conveyed to the brain in time during sleep, and the brain cannot issue a command to wake up in time. Therefore, some children often dream of looking for a toilet before wetting the bed at night. Bedwetting in children is very harmful to their healthy growth, life, and study. Parents must not be blindly optimistic and think that it will get better when their children grow up, because bedwetting is a disease that will not heal itself. If it is not treated, it will accompany the child throughout his life and affect the child's normal social interaction and work when he grows up. Therefore, parents must pay attention to this and if they find any suspicious condition in their children, they should immediately take their children to a relevant regular hospital for examination. |
