Symptoms of chickenpox in children

Many children will get chickenpox when they are young, which is very harmful to the baby's body. Many parents will give their babies the chickenpox vaccine to prevent them from getting chickenpox in the future. If the child has not been vaccinated, parents should pay attention to the child's reaction in time. Once there are signs of chickenpox, treatment is needed immediately. So, what are the symptoms of chickenpox in children?

How old is the baby when chickenpox occurs

Generally, infants and preschool children over 6 months old are at high risk of chickenpox. If a child is infected with shingles, the symptom will be chickenpox.

The best way to prevent chickenpox is to get the chickenpox vaccine. After getting the chickenpox vaccine, you will gain immunity and generally will not get chickenpox again for the rest of your life. However, a small number of patients may develop shingles when their body's immunity is reduced. After an episode of shingles, it generally does not recur.

Children with chickenpox should rest in bed when they have a fever. If the body temperature is high, they can be given antipyretics, easily digestible food and plenty of water. The room should be ventilated to prevent the child from catching cold. Since the rash may cause itching, care should be taken to trim the child's nails to prevent scratching of blisters, so as to avoid secondary suppurative bacterial infection. At the same time, clothes and bedding should be changed frequently to keep the skin clean.
