Is it easy to cure anal atresia in newborns?

The anus is a very important part of the human body structure for everyone, because people's daily metabolism is carried out through the anus. Anal atresia is a relatively common condition that mainly occurs in newborns due to physical development and some other problems. When this situation occurs, it is very serious and needs to be treated promptly because everyone needs to excrete. So when a newborn has anal atresia, is this condition easy to cure? How should it be treated?

Anal atresia is a disease that commonly occurs in newborns. This is difficult for many parents to accept. However, in order not to affect the child's normal development in the future, parents should take their children to a regular hospital for a comprehensive examination and treatment as soon as possible.

Generally speaking, surgery is the main treatment for neonatal anal atresia.

First of all, if it is a low-position anal lock, the doctor should first perform routine disinfection for the child. Local anesthesia is not necessary. As long as the skin of the child's perineum is incised and separated, and then expanded, the child's disease can be cured.

Secondly, if the child's condition is high-position anal locking, the doctor should make an incision in the child's sacrum and abdomen, and then drag the blind end of the child's rectum to the perineum to create an anus. In addition, the doctor can also first make an artificial anus in the child's abdomen, and then when the child is 1 to 2 years old, cut the child's abdomen or the rectum of the sacrum and coccyx to perform an anal anastomosis.

In addition to the above, automatic intermittent electromagnetic suction can also be used to treat anal lock. Before taking this treatment method, the doctor should first create a sigmoid colostomy, that is, an artificial anus, for the child. After that, an appropriate cylindrical iron block, generally with a diameter of about 0.5 cm, should be inserted into the blind segment of the child's rectum, and then an intermittent magnetic attraction device should be used to attract the child's body outside the body.

Although this disease is quite harmful to children, if the child can go to a regular hospital for comprehensive treatment in time, he or she can usually recover, so parents and friends do not need to worry too much.
