How to reduce phlegm in children?

The weather is getting cooler now, but some children still like to play outside and wear less clothes, so they catch a cold. After a cold, not only is it easy to cough, but there is also some phlegm in the throat. Parents are helpless and can't think of any good way to expel the phlegm from their children's throats. So, what is the most effective way to reduce phlegm in children?

Children with a lot of phlegm can eat the following foods to reduce phlegm:

1. Stewed pears with rock sugar: Peel the fresh pears, split them in half and remove the cores. Add appropriate amount of rock sugar and steam them in a pot until soft.

2. Bake oranges: Use chopsticks to make a hole in the center of the bottom of the orange, stuff some salt in it, wrap it with aluminum foil, and bake it in the oven for 15-20 minutes. After taking it out, peel the orange peel and eat it while it is hot. Or you can dry the orange peel into dried tangerine peel, add water to make tea, and drink it in big gulps. It has amazing effects.

3. Stewed pear with Fritillaria cirrhosa: Use peeled and cored fresh pears, add 2 grams of Fritillaria cirrhosa powder, steam in a pot until soft, and eat while hot.

4. White radish candy: Cut the white radish into 1 cm dices, put it in a dry, clean container, fill it with honey, cover it tightly, soak it for about 3 days, the water will seep out and mix with the honey, store it in the refrigerator; scoop out a little each time and add warm water to drink, it has a very good cough-relieving effect. If you want to drink it suddenly and don’t have time to soak it, you can grind the white radish, add 1/3 amount of honey, mix well, and then add warm water to drink.

5. Sugar-boiled kumquats: Wash the kumquats, poke two or three holes with a toothpick, add water to cover them and bring to a boil, add rock sugar, simmer over low heat, and eat while hot. Let the unfinished drink cool down and store in the refrigerator. Scoop some out each time and eat it warm.

6. Do not eat sweets such as candies and biscuits. Cold, dry foods that can easily cause inflammation, such as peanuts, melon seeds, fried foods, etc. should also be avoided.
