Correction process and precautions for children's pigeon toes

In life, we often find that some friends have an ugly posture when walking, with their feet in an "eight" position. Moreover, the walking image will have a great impact on the individual's body. When children have an inward-turned toe, they will not only be laughed at by other children, but it will even cause great psychological harm to the children. Pay attention to controlling the inward-turned toe. Children's inward-turned toe also needs to be corrected in time. Parents can practice with their children at ordinary times, and proceed step by step through squatting, jumping, and stepping movements. People are not used to it at the beginning of correction, so they will still feel irritable. Parents need to guide them patiently and should not scold or intimidate them.

Correction process

1. Squat method. For people with pigeon-toed feet, stand with both feet externally rotated; for people with pigeon-toed feet, stand with both feet internally rotated, and do squats and stand-ups, repeat 80 to 100 times, and practice 4 sets in total.

2. Vertical jump method. Jumping with turned legs can correct pigeon-toed feet, while jumping with crossed legs can correct pigeon-toed feet. Or use the outside of the foot to kick the shuttlecock, and use the inside of the foot to kick the shuttlecock, football, sandbag, etc. continuously upwards. Repeat 80 to 100 times with each foot, and practice 4 sets in total.

3. Leg-resting method. Place one leg on a horizontal plane and first stretch the ligaments of the lower limb joints. After about 10 minutes, use both hands to bend the feet. People with pigeon-toed feet should bend outwards, and people with pigeon-toed feet should bend inwards. Do this for 10 minutes each time. Repeat 4 times with each foot.

4. Straight-line stepping method. Draw two straight lines on the ground. The distance between the two straight lines should be a horizontal fist. Both the heels and toes should be placed on the straight lines. The steps should be from small to large, from slow to fast. Repeat 30 to 50 times each time, and practice 4 times in total.

5. Straight line jumping method. Pull a rope on the ground and run with your feet parallel to the rope, or you can run along a drawn straight line. Every step should be on the line, with your knees and toes facing forward, without deviating. Run 50 to 100 meters, practice 4 times in total.

Not suitable for people

Malignant hypertension, resistant stroke, emergencies of all internal organs, acute thrombophlebitis, venous thrombosis, leg ulcers, etc.

Causes

1. Learning to walk and stand too early.

Because children's legs are not strong enough, their feet naturally spread apart when they are learning to walk and stand, widening the area under their feet to help them stand firmly and prevent falling, thus creating a posture with their feet naturally spread apart.

2. Wearing leather shoes too early.

Young children wear leather shoes when they are learning to walk, especially hard leather shoes. This is because children's foot bones are soft and their ankles are weak, and they often have trouble wearing the shoes. Therefore, over time, their gait becomes distorted.

3. Lack of calcium in the body.

When the calcium content in children's bones is low, the bones in their feet become irregular, and the bilateral hip joints can easily spread outward due to the effect of gravity when they walk and stand, thus forming "outward-turned feet".
