Is herpes virus contagious in children?

Children's physical resistance is relatively weak. Generally, we increase children's resistance by giving them some vaccinations. However, there are too many types of diseases and many causes of illness in children, so it is difficult for us to prevent children from getting sick. However, we should pay attention to diseases such as viral herpes in children, because this disease is contagious, and its main way of transmission is through sexual behavior, so as parents, you should take relevant safety measures.

If viral herpes is not treated in time, it will cause great harm to people and seriously endanger their physical and mental health. Genital herpes is caused by the herpes simplex virus and is mainly transmitted through unclean sexual life. Symptomatic treatment is very important. It is also necessary to understand the transmission routes of genital herpes and take preventive care for it.

Any clothes, bedding, toilets and bath towels used by patients with genital herpes may be contaminated by the patient's secretions and carry the genital herpes virus. Healthy people who live closely with patients with genital herpes are prone to infection when minor wounds come into contact with these virus-contaminated items. Or it can be transmitted through sexual contact with someone who has genital herpes, including sexual intercourse, passionate kissing, and hugging with skin-to-skin contact. The skin and mucous membranes in the genital area are thin and rich in blood vessels. They are in a state of extreme congestion during sexual intercourse. Friction during sexual intercourse can cause minor injuries, creating conditions for the invasion of genital herpes virus.

Pregnant women with genital herpes can also transmit genital herpes to their fetus through the placenta. If a pregnant woman has genital herpes and it is not discovered and treated in time, or if the treatment is not timely, the genital herpes virus can be transmitted to the fetus through the blood circulation of the placenta, causing the fetus to be infected with genital herpes. When the fetus passes through the birth canal infected with genital herpes, the genital herpes virus in the birth canal can be transmitted to the fetus through the birth canal, causing the newborn to be infected with genital herpes and become ill.
