Summer children's body temperature 375

Children are the apple of their parents' eyes. When a child has a cold or fever, parents will treat it as a major threat. In summer, not only parents feel hot, but children also have high body temperature. Sometimes, children's body temperature rises to 375 in summer. There are several reasons, such as changes in the environment and possibly one's own physical fitness. Here are the main reasons.

Reasons why baby's body temperature rises in summer

In summer, due to the increase in ambient temperature, the baby's body temperature will also change with the environment, but an increase in body temperature does not mean a fever. There are many reasons for the baby's body temperature to increase.

Physical development

Due to the development of the baby's body, the metabolism is relatively active, so the baby's body temperature will be slightly higher than usual when the surrounding temperature is hot.

Breast milk factors

If the baby is breastfeeding, the mother's overly stimulating food will also affect the baby's body temperature, such as eating peppers, fish, eating chicken for a long time, and drinking too much alcohol. Similarly, stimulating nutrients and supplements will be transferred to the baby's body through the mother's breast milk. At this time, under the stimulation of such breast milk, the baby's body temperature will also rise slightly accordingly.

Vigorous exercise

After strenuous exercise, the baby's body temperature will rise to varying degrees. When encountering this situation, mothers do not need to worry too much. They need to wipe off the baby's sweat in time, and wait for the baby to calm down after a certain period of time. The body temperature will drop by itself.

How to take your baby's temperature correctly?

Underarm measurement

Before measuring the temperature, the mother should first wipe the baby's armpits with a dry towel, and then place the mercury end of the thermometer deep in the armpit without exposing it. The mother should hold the thermometer with her hand, let the baby bend his arms over the chest, and clamp them tightly (infants and young children need to be held tightly). Take out after measuring the temperature for 7 to 10 minutes. Be careful not to get any underwear or sheets between the thermometer and the skin of the armpit to ensure accuracy. The normal axillary temperature is generally 36-37℃ on average. The advantage of the underarm measurement method is that the baby does not need to take off his clothes, but when the weather is cold or the temperature measurement time is insufficient, the measured baby's body temperature will be lower.

Endoanal measurement

This method is the most accurate way to measure body temperature, but it also causes great physiological stimulation to the baby. When measuring inside the anus, the mother should first lubricate the mercury end of the thermometer with baby lubricant or glycerin, and then slowly and gently insert the mercury end of the thermometer into the baby's anus, with an insertion length of about 1.5 cm. At this time, mothers must hold the upper end of the thermometer with their hands to prevent it from slipping or breaking. Take it out after 3 to 5 minutes, wipe the table with gauze or soft toilet paper, and read the degree. The normal range of rectal body temperature is generally 36.5~37.5℃.

Intraoral measurement

Oral tables are only suitable for older babies who can cooperate. Place the mercury end of the oral gauge obliquely under the baby's tongue, tell the baby to close his mouth (but remember to remind the baby not to bite with teeth), breathe through the nose, take it out after 3 minutes, wipe it clean and read the degree. Oral temperature below 37°C is normal.
