Is it a problem if the baby doesn't have a full stomach?

Before I had a baby, the term "holding bowel movements" was very unfamiliar to me. I didn't know what it meant until I had my baby. It seemed like when the baby was two or three months old, he would normally poop several times a day, but he hadn't pooped in the last few days. As I was a first-time mother, I didn't know what was going on and was worried that something was wrong with my baby. I asked my mother and she said it was nothing, maybe it was just good digestion and holding bowel movements that had all been digested. I was relieved then. She said as long as the baby doesn't poop for no more than a week, it's fine. But is it a problem for some babies not to hold bowel movements? This also worries mothers.

This may be related to the baby's physique or the food he eats. If the baby has been eating breast milk, the mother must eat less raw and cold food, which will be helpful for the baby.

If the baby is breastfed, has no fever, has a good appetite and mental state, and is gaining weight normally, then there is no problem. If necessary, a routine stool test can be performed to rule out intestinal infection. If it is mixed feeding or artificial feeding, it is recommended to take oral drugs to adjust the intestinal flora, such as Bifi-Con, Jinshuangqi, etc.

Do you understand what I said above? Whether a baby has constipation or not is related to his or her physical condition. Some babies have constipation because of good digestion and absorption, or they may have constipation caused by getting angry. Generally, it’s fine if the baby has constipation for no more than seven days. If the baby doesn’t have constipation, it may be that the baby’s digestive function is not yet perfect. If you are breastfeeding, mothers should try to eat less cold food. If the baby is in good spirits, mothers don't have to worry. If the baby has severe diarrhea, go to the hospital in time for doctor's treatment!
