What to do if your child doesn't sleep

What to do if your child doesn't sleep

Sometimes children love to sleep very much. When they are sleepy, they will fall asleep as long as they lie on the bed. However, some children cannot speak when they are young, especially newborn babies. When the children feel comfortable, they can only cry. But sometimes the family can't guess for sure, and when the child is sleeping, a phenomenon will occur, that is, the child will not sleep.

1. The baby is not full

Babies fall asleep because they are not full, which is a common reason for babies in the first few months. The baby tosses and turns in bed and keeps sucking. Sometimes the baby just needs to suck, and sometimes the baby is really hungry and can't sleep. For babies who are bottle-fed, parents can use a pacifier to test whether the baby still wants milk. When the baby needs milk, he will spit out the pacifier given to him by the parents. It is more convenient to feed babies with breast milk. The mother can directly feed the baby, and the baby will fall asleep obediently after eating.

2. Improper diet causes stomach discomfort

If the baby's diet is not properly arranged, the baby may have indigestion, abdominal distension and discomfort if the baby eats too much, the food is too cold, or the food is not properly configured. The baby may not be able to sleep because of bloating, constipation, or simple abdominal cramps. The mother can massage the baby's belly or take children's digestive tablets to help the baby digest!

3. Environmental impact

The baby's sleeping environment is too noisy, the baby wears too many or too few clothes when sleeping, or the cover is too thin or too thick. The most common reason why babies can't sleep is that they are wrapped in too thick a blanket, especially for babies under six months old. Parents are always afraid that their babies will catch a cold, so they dress them more and cover them with more blankets. In fact, babies have a faster metabolism and are more afraid of heat than adults. Too many clothes and blankets will cause the baby to be irritable, crying, and not sleeping.

There are reasons why children don't sleep. Of course, some children are more playful and will continue to play even when they can't open their eyes. There are many such children. Therefore, when children don't sleep, parents must check what reasons are causing their children to not sleep and what the factors are before treating them.
