2 year old child cannot walk

When a child learns to walk, two years old is a golden period of rapid development. People generally pay special attention. However, since babies learn to crawl at the age of six months, most children should be able to walk well by the time they are one year old. Some parents become very anxious when they see their children cannot walk at the age of two.

Baby walking development stages

Phase one.

October-November: This stage is the first stage for the baby to learn to walk. When the baby can stand steadily with support and can even stand alone for a while, you can start practicing walking.

Phase 2.

12 months: Squatting is an important development process at this stage. Parents should focus on training the baby's standing-squatting-standing continuous movements. Doing so can enhance the baby's leg muscle strength and train the body's coordination.

Stage 3.

Over 12 months: At this time, the baby can walk with support. Next, the baby must learn to take two to three steps without support. At this stage, the baby's balance training needs to be strengthened.

Stage 4.

Around 13 months: At this time, in addition to continuing to train the leg muscles and the coordination between the body and the eyes, parents should also focus on training the baby's ability to adapt to different surfaces.

Stage 5.

13-15 months: The baby can already walk well, and his exploration of the surrounding things gradually increases. Parents should satisfy his curiosity at this time and enable him to develop in a positive direction.

Some babies may have sensory integration disorder. The so-called sensory integration means that some actions or behaviors of the baby are not directly responded to by the brain.

Imbalance, unstable walking, and fear of taking a step are signs of timidity and lack of confidence, which is also a type of sensory integration disorder. If you want to improve these problems of children, you must conduct special training and adjust them through sensory integration equipment. If you don't adjust them now, the problems will become more obvious as the child gets older, and the more difficult it will be to adjust.
