What to do if your child has eczema

What to do if your child has eczema

Some children have weak constitutions and if they have allergic constitutions, they will easily develop eczema on their skin. Many children are afraid of heat. Once they sweat, small red rashes will appear on their skin, and they will be very itchy. Children can't help scratching, and the more they scratch, the worse the rash becomes. What should I do if my child has eczema? If it is not very serious, applying moisturizing cream may be helpful, but if it is more serious, it is best to choose some hormone ointment.

For milder eczema, such as a little redness and peeling of the skin, and a few small papules, you don’t need to take medicine. Just pay attention to your daily care and use some moisturizing silicone cream. For more serious eczema, some pure Chinese herbal preparations can be used to treat it.

For more serious cases, such as large areas of erythema, desquamation, and exudation, parents do not need to worry too much when using hormone ointments. The hormones used for children are generally medium- to weak-acting or weak-acting, and they are safe for short-term, local, and intermittent use under the guidance of a doctor.

Most children can get through eczema relatively smoothly. However, some children have recurrent eczema with severe symptoms, and there is no sign of improvement after they are over one year old. This may be an early sign of atopic dermatitis. Parents should take their children to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible.

Parents should be reminded that the skin of babies with eczema is very sensitive, so you must be extra careful when taking care of these babies. Do not let the children be too dry, too hot, or too exposed to the sun, as these may irritate and worsen the eczema. If you still have any questions, please consult a doctor.
