The experience of curing EB virus in children

Children are treasures in the hands of their parents. Once a child is infected with a virus, parents will panic. If they do not understand the virus, they may miss the best time for treatment. Not only will the parents regret it, but it will also ruin the child's life. The Epstein-Barr virus in children is a highly infectious virus. Once infected, children will feel very uncomfortable. The symptoms of this virus are similar to those of a cold, but more serious than a cold. So, how can EB virus in children be cured?

1. How to treat EB virus

Parents will be very worried when their children are infected with a virus. The symptoms of some viral infections are very serious and can make the children very uncomfortable. EB virus is a very common virus that has no seasonality and can occur all year round. The symptoms of EB virus infection may look like a cold and fever, but the harm is very serious and may even cause liver damage.

1. Antiviral treatment

In the early stages of the disease, children can consider using antiviral drugs for treatment. Some drugs can inhibit viral polymerases and thus terminate the extension of viral DNA chains. Some interferons can block the combination of human cells and viruses, preventing the virus from replicating, thereby blocking the virus from damaging cells.

2. Take rest

For sick children, parents should give them plenty of rest, especially during acute attacks. If liver function damage occurs, the child should rest in bed and receive combined viral and hepatitis treatment.

3. Use of hormone drugs

If some children develop severe throat edema and severe lesions, hemolytic anemia, or thrombocytopenic purpura, they can choose to use hormone drugs to alleviate their symptoms.

4. Limit exercise

Some children should be careful not to do strenuous exercise during the course of the disease and avoid any action that could hit or squeeze the spleen. Children can only do strenuous exercise several months after their symptoms have improved.

2. Symptoms of EB virus infection

Children will often be infected with some diseases during their growth process, because their disease resistance is not as good as that of adults, and because many diseases require the body to produce certain antibodies only after the disease occurs, so it is normal for children to be infected with some diseases. The Epstein-Barr virus is a common infectious disease that is highly harmful. What are the symptoms of EBV infection?

1. Fever

This is one of the most common symptoms of infection. The patient will have a fever for about a week after the infection. In severe cases, it may last for about two weeks. However, the fever symptoms are not obvious in young children when they are infected.

2. Rash

Children will develop a rash about 1-2 weeks after being infected with the virus, including maculopapular rash, urticaria, erythema nodosum, etc., which usually lasts for 3-7 days and leaves no trace after disappearing.

3. Sore throat

Children will have sore throat during the illness, and may develop ulcers on the tonsils and pharyngeal mucosa. Some patients may also experience swollen and painful gums and gingival ulcers, etc.

4. Swollen lymph nodes

About 70% of patients experience swollen lymph nodes after the onset of the disease, but the pain is not strong, and there is slight tenderness or no obvious tenderness when lightly pressed. Generally, lymph node swelling subsides slowly after it occurs and may last for several weeks or months.
