What to do if your baby has blisters from burns

What to do if your baby has blisters from burns

Burns and scalds are very common in life. For chefs, it often happens. Whether it is a burn or a scald, the patient will feel very painful, and the injured part will blister. If the baby accidentally gets burned or scalded, the pain will make them cry, and the mothers will be particularly distressed. So what should the baby do if he is burned and blistered?

Burns are accidents that often happen in life, especially for babies. Generally, burns are divided into many levels. The larger the burn area of the patient, the higher the level, and the more likely it is to induce various physical infections. For babies, the skin is more delicate, and timely treatment and prevention after burns are needed to minimize the baby's pain and physical discomfort symptoms, and prevent diseases such as sepsis.

Steps/Methods:

01 First of all, parents and friends should remain calm and quickly flush the patient with running water for about 30 minutes. This can reduce the degree of burns, reduce the degree of redness and swelling, and relieve pain. Then apply burn ointment and bandage it with gauze to prevent the baby from scratching and causing infection.

02 The affected area should be placed in a washbasin filled with ice water, and then tap water should be turned on to flow into the washbasin to cool the affected area. Just cooling for 20-30 minutes can relieve the pain and prevent damage to the deep skin tissue. Remember, parents must not prick the blisters on the wound to prevent infection.

03 Parents must comfort their babies to prevent them from crying and refusing to cooperate with treatment. They should wait until the baby’s burn wound has cooled down, cover it with sterilized gauze to prevent bacterial infection, and then go to the hospital for treatment immediately. Do not apply ointments casually.

Note:

Babies who have been scalded should pay attention to their diet. Do not let them eat spicy or irritating foods, and eat less greasy food. They can eat light food, such as white porridge, soup, etc. At the same time, let the child eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, and drink plenty of water, which is conducive to the baby's recovery.
