Disadvantages of frequent feedings

Many mothers do not know how much milk their babies should eat when they are breastfeeding, especially for new mothers. They are always afraid that their babies are not full, so they will keep feeding their babies when they cry. In fact, excessive feeding will cause indigestion in the baby's stomach, and it is easy to develop stomach problems for the baby. So if the baby doesn't want to eat, don't force feed him. So what are the disadvantages of feeding the baby frequently?

Overfeeding can cause indigestion in your baby.

Guidance: Because the digestive organs of young children are not yet fully established, intestinal digestion needs to be established little by little. If they are overfed, indigestion enteritis may occur. It is a good thing when a baby cries, as it can increase lung capacity. Don't feed him as soon as he cries. Develop a good habit.

In fact, this is not the case. Nowadays, pediatricians advocate feeding on demand, at irregular times and in irregular quantities (this is what my pediatrician tells me every time I take my baby for health care).

If you feel that your baby eats too frequently and is worried that he or she is overly attached to breastfeeding, you can try to slowly extend the time between feedings, delaying each feeding by 20-30 minutes. Each feeding should last about 15 minutes. Try to let your baby eat quietly and enjoyably at one time, so that the transition can be gradual.

As for sleeping, the sleep cycle of a newborn is about 30 minutes, and there is more light sleep.

After 2 months, the baby can have a full sleep of 4-6 hours. Sometimes the baby will hum, cry slightly, scratch the head and ears, stretch, etc. At this time, you can pat the baby gently to make the baby feel safe, and then hold the baby if you really can't coax him/her into sleeping.

In addition, when the baby is awake, you can interact with the baby more, such as talking to him, doing touch and passive exercises, etc., try to let the baby release his insecurity. This also helps improve your baby's sleep
