Children have cold hands and feet

Children have cold hands and feet

We all know that when babies are young, they are very prone to catching colds because of their weak constitutions. The common clinical manifestations of a baby's cold are runny nose, cough, and fever. Some babies will develop various complications due to the lack of timely treatment for colds, and the situation is more serious at this time. Therefore, babies must be treated in time if they have a cold. So what should you do if a child has cold hands and feet during a cold?

Baby has a cold:

1: If the condition is not serious (runny nose, mild cough, vomiting, etc.), just give some cold medicine;

2: If the baby has a fever but it does not exceed 38 degrees, use physical cooling methods (take a warm shower first, wear thin clothes after shower, and wipe the palms, soles of feet and armpits with alcohol). If the baby has a fever above 38 degrees (first put an ice pack on the forehead, and put the rest in the refrigerator for later use. Then feed the baby some Motrin), the fever will subside soon. Please don't be anxious, and keep some cold medicine for the baby at home (brands such as Ucardan, Xiaokuihua, Shenmiao, etc. are all good). Don't take the baby to the hospital as soon as he feels uncomfortable, because now hospitals have to wait in line, which delays the baby's time, and there are almost the same treatment methods. If the condition is very serious, you can carry out the above treatment first and then go to the hospital. If the baby has diarrhea the next day after taking the medicine, stop feeding the medicine because the baby is small and has weak gastrointestinal function and physical constitution. If the mother has a cold, she should use baby medicine for all the cases, which will not harm the child. If it is adult medicine, stop feeding the baby for two to three days. But during this period, you must squeeze out the milk and pour it out to prevent the udder from swollen again.

When babies have a cold, their hands and feet become cold mainly because after the cold, the child's blood circulation cannot reach the extremities, and the blood must first ensure the important organs. Since children are prone to low resistance and poor blood circulation after catching a cold, you can rub their hands and feet with warm water and provide them with adequate nutrition to ensure their resistance.

This situation is often caused by physical weakness, anemia, yang deficiency, etc. You can eat more warm food in moderation and avoid eating raw or cold food. In addition, you can do a routine blood test to see if there are any abnormalities and choose treatment based on the examination.
