What to do if the BCG abscess bursts

Some babies may have a needle port left when they are vaccinated with BCG. This place is more prone to abscesses, so we should pay attention to this situation when we encounter abscesses in our lives. Because if the abscess is broken, it may cause skin damage from some diseases. Therefore, we should take some necessary protective measures, which will be of great help to our physical health.

BCG is helpful to our health, but we recommend that when you get BCG and develop BCG abscesses, you should avoid contact with water, as this can be very painful and can easily lead to bacterial growth.

When the BCG abscess breaks, the baby may feel a little pain and may cry. It is normal to treat the baby with medicine. Just make sure the room is dry and ventilated. It is recommended that exposed areas that may come into contact with water should be bandaged to reduce local friction and apply erythromycin ointment externally.

When my baby was given the BCG vaccine, the doctor told me not to worry if it becomes purulent. Do not squeeze the pus or wipe the abscess for the baby. Just pay attention to the cleanliness of the area around the purulent area and don't let it come into contact with water. Don't cover it with gauze or cotton, as this will not be conducive to scar formation. By the way, my baby didn't have any pus after the vaccination, and I still have to go to the hospital for a check-up to see if he has antibodies after 6 months. It is recommended not to contact with water, no need to bandage, it is best to expose it to reduce local friction, and apply erythromycin ointment externally.

This is a normal process. An ulcer will appear after the abscess bursts. Be careful not to get water on it frequently and keep the area dry. A scab will form automatically after a while, and a scar will be left after the scab falls off. BCG will cause the tumor to rot from the inside to the outside. When the abscess bursts, it will form a scar. This means that the vaccination was successful. Just pay attention to the care and you can continue to take a bath. The little baby's wound was also broken at that time, and yellow pus was oozing out.

We should not worry too much about the BCG abscess introduced in the article in our daily life, mainly because this disease is not a serious disease. Once the abscess ruptures, it will soon form a scab. So you just need to avoid touching water at this stage and keep the local area dry, and it will recover soon.
