How to treat adenoid hyperplasia in children

Children are the flowers of the motherland and the treasures of the family. Every child will have some diseases, big or small, in the process of growing up. When the child is sick, the parents are very worried. Many children will have adenoids hyperplasia, which is a common disease in pediatrics. Once the disease is discovered, it must be treated in time, otherwise it may affect the healthy growth of the child. So how to treat adenoids hyperplasia in children?

Treatment of enlarged adenoids in children

Experts at the ENT Hospital emphasize that the effective treatment of adenoids hypertrophy in children should be based on a comprehensive examination of the cause and analysis of the condition, especially since children are in a critical period of growth and development. Therefore, the treatment of adenoids hypertrophy in children should follow the principles of minimally invasive treatment, retaining normal physiological functions, and not affecting development.

Low-temperature plasma minimally invasive technology is effective in treating adenoids hypertrophy in children. This technology can be performed under surface anesthesia, is minimally invasive, minimally painful, and bleeding-free, greatly shortening the operation time and protecting the adenoid surface mucosa well, and generally does not require hospitalization. It is non-traumatic to children's body tissues, has no side effects, and is healthy and effective.

Dietary precautions for children with enlarged adenoids and tonsils:

1. Eat less or no food that causes internal heat or replenishes qi. For example, try not to eat river fish and river shrimp, and don't eat sea fish for the time being. Don't eat chili peppers, ginger, garlic, yam, red dates, longan, lychee, fried food, puffed food, or roasted nuts. You can eat some of them after the condition has improved.

2. Stop eating all cold foods and only eat foods that are neutral or warm in nature, such as pork, chicken, beef, pigeon, quail, eel, loach, green vegetables, cabbage, bean sprouts, potatoes, leeks, carrots (twice a week), etc. In summer, add green beans, cowpeas, cucumbers, tomatoes, lotus roots, celery, cauliflower, and various fungi (fungi are also cool and suitable for summer eating). Eat fresh seasonal fruits. After May, fresh fruits are available. You can eat strawberries, peaches, grapes, cherries, and in autumn you can eat apples, pears, oranges, etc.

3. Eat braised eel or drink eel soup 2-3 times a week. Eel is different from other fish. It has obvious effects of nourishing blood, nourishing kidney and anti-allergic, but it is not easy to cause internal heat, and it is nourishing without being dry. Eat sea shrimps twice a week, about 10 shrimps at a time. Children around 7 years old can eat half a pound at a time. Sea shrimps are cocktail shrimps or prawns. They have obvious effects in replenishing kidney yang and can be used to treat chronic tonsillitis, chronic rhinitis, and chronic pharyngitis. Their effects are completely different from those of river shrimps.

4. Use half a pound of red dates, half a pound of walnut kernels, half a pound of black sesame seeds, 2 taels of donkey-hide gelatin, half a pound of rock sugar, and one pound of cooking wine to make a tonic that can replenish blood, nourish the kidneys, and moisturize dryness. Give your child half a small spoonful every night. Don't eat too much, as it will cause sore throat. If you have symptoms of getting a fever, cut a quarter of an apple and boil it in water to drink. It can remove the internal heat without hurting your body. Don't eat it when you don't have the heat.

5. Eat more meat during the treatment. The meat should be cooked well to facilitate digestion and absorption by children. At the same time, vegetables must be ensured. The ratio of vegetables to meat is 1:1. Adequate vegetables are conducive to smooth bowel movements and can reduce internal heat. After following the diet therapy, be sure to encourage your child to drink more boiled water and not drink beverages.

Adenoids hypertrophy is the hyperplasia of the pharyngeal tonsils. Adenoid hypertrophy in children is often physiological. Babies have lymphoid tissue in the nasopharynx when they are born, and it proliferates with age, reaching its maximum extent at the age of 6 and then gradually degenerating. It is only when it affects the health of the whole body or adjacent organs that it is called adenoid hypertrophy.

Parents are the people who have the most contact with children every day, so we must observe the children's physical condition when we are in contact with them. If there is anything abnormal in the child's body, we must treat it in time. After understanding the treatment methods of adenoids hypertrophy in children, we must choose scientific and safe treatment methods when choosing treatment in daily life. After all, children are in the stage of physical growth and development.
