What should you pay attention to when your baby has measles

Babies are prone to illness, and when babies are sick it adds a lot of burden to the parents, which is a very troublesome thing for parents. Some parents find that their babies have a lot of urticaria, and the babies will involuntarily scratch with their hands, but parents must control the baby's behavior at this time. We can’t let them do whatever they want with their hands. Let's take a look at what you should pay attention to when your baby has urticaria?

Treatment principles: 1. Isolation: The isolation period is from the prodromal period to the fifth day after the rash appears. If pneumonia occurs, the duration may be extended to ten days after the onset of the rash. 2. Strengthen care: keep eyes, nose and mouth clean. 3. Supportive treatment: rest, nutritional supplements and vitamin A. 4. Symptomatic treatment: Give antipyretic, antitussive and sedative drugs, and infusion if necessary. 5. Treatment with traditional Chinese medicine (refer to traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions). 6. Treatment of complications is described separately. Principles of medication: 1. Hormones cannot be used to reduce high fever caused by measles, but in case of complications such as laryngitis, myocarditis or encephalitis, hormone treatment may be used as appropriate. 2. Patients with pneumonia must be treated with penicillin or other antibiotics.

Confirm whether it is measles. Measles has white mucous membrane in the mouth. See if you have it. This is a unique sign of measles.

There have been quite a few emergency visits to infants during this period, especially those around six months old. If the fever is severe, you can use a cooling patch, which will reduce the fever quickly. Don't go out to get some fresh air, just stay at home and keep the air circulating. Do not eat cold food, and do not add or add less complementary foods such as egg yolks for the time being. Just wait until the rash subsides. It is slightly contagious and it is best not to come into contact with other babies.

It is an acute respiratory infectious disease caused by measles virus. The virus is present in the nasopharynx, eye secretions, blood and urine of the children. The clinical characteristics are the appearance of erythematous papules on the skin 3-4 days after fever and measles mucosal patches on the buccal mucosa close to the second molars. This spot lasts only 1-2 days and then disappears, but the roughness and congestion of the mucosa may persist for several days. Measles first appears behind the ears, on the hairline and cheeks; gradually spreads to the head, face, chest, back, limbs; and finally appears on the hands and feet. Measles is highly contagious, highly susceptible, and has many complications, among which measles combined with pneumonia and cough are the most common. Severe cases can be life-threatening.

Care:

Let the child rest. The ward should be quiet, the air should be fresh, and the blanket should not be too thick or too many.

Keep your child's skin clean and hygienic, and wipe off sweat from his or her body frequently to prevent him or her from catching a cold.

Give your child plenty of water or juice to help him sweat and urinate, thus promoting the excretion of toxins. Eat a liquid or semi-liquid diet.

When the body temperature exceeds 39 degrees, you can wipe the child's body with warm water or 37% alcohol to prevent the child from having convulsions due to high fever.
