Why does a twelve year old still wet the bed?

Why does a twelve year old still wet the bed?

Generally speaking, children over three years old are generally able to control their urination. If a child over three years old still wets the bed, it needs to attract the attention of parents. This situation may be due to the failure to form a habit and needs to be adjusted in time. It may also be caused by certain diseases, especially for children who are already twelve years old. So why do children still wet the bed at the age of twelve? Please see below for details.

Bedwetting in children before the age of 3 is mostly a normal physiological phenomenon, which will gradually improve with age. The awakening response to a full bladder is a physiological process that gradually develops and matures with age. Generally speaking, this process begins to develop in children after the age of 2 and is close to completion by at least the age of 5. Before the age of 3 or when drinking too much water at night, children may occasionally ask adults to urinate.

Therefore, as long as a child wets the bed, there is usually a trigger. It is necessary to distinguish between functional and organic diseases. Functional diseases can be completely cured with medication. For organic diseases, the triggers must be found out in time, and the disease that does not cause bedwetting must be cured. Only then can the bedwetting symptoms be cured. However, organic diseases are uncommon, and functional enuresis generally occurs more often.

After nearly twenty years of clinical observation, it has been found that in order to cure bed-wetting, we must understand the causes of bed-wetting. Only in this way can we take targeted measures and completely cure bed-wetting.

The causes of functional enuresis are related to the following factors:

1. Small bladder and poor bladder sphincter function. Children have to urinate frequently during the day and cannot hold their urine. They have urgency and frequency of urination. Some children even wet their pants during the day.

2. Endocrine disorders in the brain and insufficient kidney qi cause bedwetting between 12 and 2 a.m., and the child becomes confused when called and urinates when not called.

3. Weak spleen and stomach, small appetite, picky eating, weak and sickly, prone to colds, getting sore throats.

4. Dysfunction of the central nervous system of the bladder, poor sensitivity, incorrect signal transmission by nerve receptors, and the inability to wake up when having to urinate in the early morning lead to bed-wetting.

5. Kidney deficiency, slow development and short stature, night sweats, hyperactivity and lack of concentration during the day, poor academic performance and poor memory.

6. Patients with occult spina bifida shown in X-rays generally have symptoms such as frequent urination during the day, bedwetting 3-5 times or more during the afternoon and evening, or patients with genetic diseases generally have more severe symptoms.

The above reasons can exist independently, or they can be causal and mutually restrictive. Only by comprehensively conditioning the body from nourishing the kidneys and brain, regulating the spleen and stomach, promoting bladder function recovery, and unblocking nutritional nerves, none of which can be missing, and only with comprehensive and integrated treatment, I believe it can be completely cured. Treatment requires taking the "Suquan Baolingdan" series of medicines, which usually take effect within a week. Have confidence in curing the disease, and you will definitely be able to get cured.
