Baby booger deep in nose

Baby booger deep in nose

The baby's body is not fully developed yet, its organs are very fragile, and its bones are relatively soft and cannot be bumped. Sometimes the baby's nasal mucus will be deep in the nose, which is particularly difficult to deal with. Do not touch it with a cotton swab or hard objects. Use instruments specially suitable for babies to deal with it. However, it must be cleaned before use, otherwise it will bring bacteria. Here are several ways to deal with it.

1. First, observe whether there is any booger in the baby's nostrils. Babies will secrete a lot of nasal mucus. If it is not cleaned regularly, it will affect their breathing and sleep quality. If you don't pay attention, you won't find it, so new mothers should always check whether their baby's breathing is even, and look into the light to see if there is any mucus in the nostrils.

2. How to clean baby nasal mucus There are two types of nasal mucus. One is wet and sticky, and sticks to the lining of the nostrils. One type is dry and black and blocks the nostrils. There are two different methods for cleaning nasal mucus. When cleaning wet and sticky nasal mucus, let the baby lie flat, put pillows on both sides of the head to prevent the head from shaking, gently press the forehead, and use a cotton swab specially for babies to gently pick the mucus in the nostrils. From time to time, use your index finger to gently press the outside of the nostrils to squeeze the mucus out, then use a cotton swab to gently pick and clean it. This is an easy way to remove the mucus.

3. The other type is dry and hard nasal mucus. Generally, if the nasal mucus is not cleaned in time, it will easily harden in the nostrils. In addition, the high heat in the child's body during breastfeeding or the dryness in the baby room can also cause dry nose. Therefore, it is necessary to place a thermometer and humidity meter in the baby's room, which is also an important measure to prevent dry nose. When cleaning hard nasal mucus, never press the outside of the nostrils with your fingers, because the edges of hardened nasal mucus are sharp, which can injure the nasal lining and cause rhinitis, which is very painful for children.

4. When you find hardened boogers in your nostrils, soften them with clean water before cleaning them. The specific method is to take a few cotton swabs specially for babies, soak them in clean water for 2 minutes, and then lie flat without shaking the head as described above. Soak a cotton swab in water and gently rotate it in the nostrils, using the attached water to soak the hardened nasal mucus to soften it. Repeat the operation several times, remember to be gentle.

After about 5 minutes, use the baby booger to clean it. Use tweezers to gently pinch and pull the booger out. It should not feel hard when pinching, so it can be cleaned out safely.

5. In addition to the above two methods, babies will often sneeze and clean their noses through their own immunity. At this time, you should use a soft towel to clean the area around the nose frequently, and wipe the philtrum under the nostrils frequently with a clean wet towel. Keeping it moist is also a good way to prevent nasal mucus from hardening. A comfortable baby can grow up more healthily.
