What is the reason why my baby has yellow-green watery stool?

Diarrhea is often caused by eating spoiled food or being infected by a virus. In this case, you only need to go to the toilet a few times to defecate to solve the problem. In medicine, doctors can examine the patient's stool, observe its characteristics or see whether it contains viruses to determine what disease the patient has. So, some parents find that their children's stool is like water, what is the reason?

1. Improper diet is often caused by overeating, eating too much high-fat and high-protein food, drinking too much alcohol or cold drinks, or catching a cold. Or eating rotten or contaminated food, such as overnight food that has not been heated and sterilized, rotten fish and shrimp, stale crabs and seafood, meat that has been stored in the refrigerator for a long time, fermented and spoiled milk and dairy products. It is mainly caused by factors such as irritating, raw, cold, and rotten food.

2. Intestinal infections such as common halophilic bacteria, Salmonella, Escherichia coli, Proteus and Staphylococcus aureus infections.

3. Systemic infections such as typhoid, paratyphoid, hepatitis and sepsis.

4. Caused by drugs such as salicylic acid preparations, arsenic, mercury and laxatives.

5. Some patients may have allergic reactions to food.

Acute enteritis is more common in summer, which is related to hot weather and easily perishable food.

What factors are related to the onset of acute enteritis

(1) Bacterial and toxin infections are most commonly caused by Salmonella and halophilic bacteria (Vibrio parahaemolyticus). Toxins are most commonly caused by Staphylococcus aureus, and viruses can also be found. There are often cases of collective outbreaks or multiple outbreaks in families. The disease can be caused by eating contaminated poultry, livestock meat, or fish; eating seafood such as crabs and snails where halophilic bacteria grow; or eating leftovers or rice contaminated by Staphylococcus aureus. In my country, the incidence rate is higher in summer and autumn, with no gender difference. The general incubation period is 12 to 36 hours.

Salmonella is the main pathogen that causes acute gastroenteritis, among which Salmonella typhimurium, Salmonella Enteritidis, Salmonella choleraesuis, Salmonella Gallinarum and Salmonella duck are the more common. The causes of acute enteritis are bacterial and toxin infections, with Salmonella and halophilic bacteria (Vibrio parahaemolyticus) being the most common. Staphylococcus aureus is a common toxin, and viruses can also be seen.

(2) Physical and chemical factors: Eating raw or cold food or certain drugs such as salicylates, sulfonamides, certain antibiotics, etc.; or accidentally taking strong acids, strong alkalis and pesticides can all cause this disease.
