What medicine should be used for baby's eyelid eczema

For us adults, as long as some diseases can be cured by taking medicine ourselves, we will apply some medicine ourselves to temporarily relieve the symptoms. However, we cannot do this for babies, because for babies, their bodies may have some incomplete functions, and even cannot resist certain medicines. So let us understand what medicine should be used for baby's eyelid eczema!

1. What ointment should be used for baby's eyelid eczema

In the case of baby's eyelid eczema, you can use Shizhen Powder, Ermiao Powder, Liuyi Powder, etc. for external application, or Sanhuang Lotion or Calamine Lotion for external application.

2. What causes eczema?

1. Direct cause: The causes of baby eczema are complex, among which allergic factors are the most important. Therefore, babies with a family history of allergies (such as father, mother, grandfather, grandmother, grandfather, grandmother, brothers and sisters and other family members have had eczema, allergic rhinitis, allergic dermatitis, allergic conjunctivitis, asthma, food allergies and drug allergies, etc.) are prone to eczema.

2. Triggering factors: For babies with eczema, many substances can induce or aggravate the symptoms of eczema, such as protein in food, especially fish, shrimp, eggs and milk, contact with chemicals (skin care products, toiletries, cleaning agents, etc.), wool products, chemical fiber products, plants (various plant pollens), animal leather and feathers, infections (viral infections, bacterial infections, etc.), sunlight exposure, high ambient temperature or wearing too warm or cold clothes, etc., can all stimulate the baby's eczema to recur or worsen. There is a special type of pediatric eczema that often occurs around the child's anus and is often accompanied by pinworm infection, called pinworm eczema.

3. Internal causes of infant eczema: Infants are prone to eczema due to their own factors. This is because the stratum corneum of infants' skin is relatively thin, the capillary network is rich, and the endothelium contains more water and chloride, making them more sensitive to various stimuli, so it is also called infant eczema.

3. Treatment of baby eczema

1. In the early stage of the disease, there are only redness, papules or a few small blisters without exudate. The treatment should be mild and anti-inflammatory, avoiding irritation. You can use Shizhen Powder, Ermiao Powder, Liuyi Powder, etc. for external application, or Sanhuang Lotion or Calamine Lotion for external application. . If only hot flashes occur, you can use boric acid talcum powder or dehumidifying powder or mix 30g of talcum powder, 10g of cold water stone powder, and 2g of linalool (borneol), and sprinkle it frequently several times a day.

2. For patients with obvious blister erosion and exudation, antiseptic and astringent liquids can be used as wet compresses or evaporating packs. Commonly used ones include compound zinc-copper solution, 0.5% lead acetate or aluminum acetate solution, etc. For those with secondary infection, 0.1% ethacridine (rivanol) solution can be used. For those with mild erosion and exudation or in the scab stage, in addition to wet compresses, zinc oxide oil, 10% bismuth subgallate zinc oxide ointment, Qushisan or Sanmiaosan can be mixed with vegetable oil or licorice oil in an appropriate amount for external use.

3. The late stage of acute eczema and the desquamating stage. The treatment principle is to protect the skin lesions, avoid external stimulation, promote the regeneration of keratin, and eliminate residual inflammation. Cool ointment, coptis ointment or general emulsion can be used.

4. Subacute stage: You can choose pastes, such as zinc oxide paste or 5% bran oil paste, or glucocorticoid cream, for external application 2-3 times a day.
