There are many factors that can cause stomach pain in children, such as appendicitis, intestinal torsion, gastritis, enteritis, colds, improper diet, unhygienic diet or overeating, etc. These factors may cause stomach pain in children. If a child has stomach pain, parents should carefully observe the child's pain. If it is just stomach pain without other symptoms, it is basically not serious. However, if it is accompanied by cold sweats, fever, nausea or diarrhea, you should still seek medical attention in time.

1. Apply hot compress to the abdomen to relieve pain

When a child has a stomachache, you can apply hot compress to the stomach to dispel the cold, dredge the meridians, and relieve stomach pain.

The specific method is: use a hot towel to apply heat to the painful area, or put hot salt in a cloth bag and iron the painful area. After 5-10 minutes, replace the hot towel.

2. Massage the navel to relieve pain

When a child has a stomachache, you can massage the area around the stomach, which is beneficial to improve local blood circulation, dredge the meridians, and effectively relieve stomachache.

The specific method is: use your fingertips to massage the area around your belly button, first clockwise, then counterclockwise, for about 10 minutes.

3. Hot compress with minced garlic and ginger to relieve pain

Hot compress with minced garlic and ginger can dispel wind and relieve pain. This method is suitable for children with abdominal pain caused by wind and cold.

The specific method is: mash some ginger and garlic paste in a ratio of 1:1, mix them evenly, wrap them in gauze or a towel, then heat them over fire, and apply them to your navel. When it cools down, heat them again and continue to apply hot compress for about half an hour. Generally, one or two applications are sufficient.

4. Massage Shenque acupoint to relieve pain

Location: Shenque point is the midpoint of the navel.

Technique: Press down on the Shenque point with the palm of your hand, and massage in a clockwise direction for 30 to 50 times. The Shenque point can also be heated with a hair dryer.

Efficacy: Soothes the stomach and intestines, dispels cold and relieves pain, treats stomach pain, especially stomach pain after catching a cold.

5. Press the Zhongwan point to relieve pain

Location: In the upper abdomen, on the anterior midline, but 4 inches above the navel, that is, the midpoint of the line connecting the lower end of the sternum and the navel.

Technique: Lie on your back with your legs bent or naturally straightened. Overlap the palm of your right hand on the back of your left hand. Place the palm of your left hand close to the Zhongwan acupoint and massage with appropriate force for 2-3 minutes.

Efficacy: Pressing and rubbing the Zhongwan point can not only relieve pain, but also promote intestinal peristalsis, enhance the gastrointestinal digestion and absorption capacity, expel gastrointestinal bloating, and regulate gastrointestinal function.

6. Drink ginger and jujube tea to relieve pain

Ginger and jujube tea can invigorate Qi and dispel cold, warm the middle and replenish deficiency. It has a good effect on mild abdominal pain and weak abdominal pain that prefers warmth and pressure.

The specific method is: take 10 grams of ginger and 10 dates and boil them together, then add maltose for seasoning, cook for a while and it is done, twice a day.
