Why does my child's back itch all the time?

When parents are taking care of their children, they should pay attention to the various symptoms exhibited by their children. For example, many children often have itchy skin problems, and itchy skin on the back is also relatively common. This skin problem can occur at any age, so attention should be paid to correct and scientific solutions. For example, common urticaria drug allergies or other infections can cause itching.

1. Experts point out that there are many reasons for children's skin itching, which can be simply attributed to four categories: skin inflammation, dryness, infection, or itching caused by internal diseases. The most common cause is skin inflammation, which is a common disease in children's skin itching, also known as eczema, which causes itching.

2. Generally speaking, atopic dermatitis can occur at any age. The most common and obvious symptom is skin itching. It is a common skin allergy disease in children with an incidence rate of about 10%. Most children develop it before the age of 5. Children, especially infants, often feel very itchy. At the beginning, atopic dermatitis tends to occur on the extended side of the limbs.

3. For example, atopic dermatitis in children often causes extreme itching of the skin, and may even cause allergic reactions in children such as poor sleep and poor appetite; seborrheic dermatitis often causes itching of the scalp and face in older patients; housewives' eczema, nummular eczema, lichen planus, drug allergies, urticaria, etc. are all itchy symptoms caused by skin inflammation.

4. Dry skin is also one of the main causes of itching in children. As we age, the sebaceous glands will gradually degenerate, often causing the skin's ability to retain moisture in middle-aged and elderly people to be much worse than before. In mild cases, the skin may become dry and flaky, while in severe cases, it may even crack and bleed, especially in the lower limbs. Dryness itself can cause itching and discomfort. Because the weather is hot in summer, it is more common for children to suffer from itchy skin caused by dryness in summer. For this kind of itching caused by dryness and cracking, you should avoid taking a bath with too hot water and use moisturizing lotion as appropriate to improve the symptoms.
