What should I check if my child often has stomach pain?

Stomach pain is the most common type of physical pain in life. There are many reasons for stomach pain. Generally speaking, it is caused by diarrhea. It may be caused by eating something unclean or toxic. In life, many parents say that their children always complain of stomachaches. So, what should children check for when they often have stomachaches?

Children's stomach pain cannot be ruled out as being caused by Helicobacter pylori infection. It is recommended that they go to the gastroenterology department of the hospital for a breath test. After a clear diagnosis, symptomatic treatment should be given. At ordinary times, attention should be paid to regular diet, and a regular and quantitative diet should be scientifically and reasonably maintained.

treat

Helicobacter pylori infection is now mainly treated with anti-Helicobacter pylori drugs. Although Helicobacter pylori is sensitive to many antimicrobial drugs in vitro, this is not always the case in vivo. The use of a single antimicrobial drug is not currently recommended because of its low cure rate and the susceptibility to drug resistance.

The principles for selecting treatment options are:

1. Use combined medication;

2. The eradication rate of Helicobacter pylori is >80%, preferably above 90%;

3. No obvious side effects, good patient tolerance;

4. Financial affordability for patients. The effectiveness of treatment for Helicobacter pylori infection should be judged based on the eradication rate of Helicobacter pylori. Eradication means that there is no bacterial growth confirmed by bacteriology, histopathology or isotope tracing methods at least one month after the termination of treatment.

Attention should be paid to oral hygiene before eradicating Helicobacter pylori. Use mouthwash and antibacterial toothpaste for a period of time to repair oral problems such as cavities, tartar, tartar, etc. You can replace your toothbrush first. Do not mix cups, water cups, and stainless steel thermos cups. They should be steamed and sterilized frequently, especially during drug treatment. Separate meals and sterilize bowls and chopsticks.

Currently, commonly used anti-Helicobacter pylori drugs at home and abroad include Weifuchun tablets, amoxicillin, metronidazole, clarithromycin, doxycycline, furazolidone, organic colloidal bismuth, Weidere, and Ledewei. Patients with ulcer disease can also appropriately combine the use of proton pump inhibitors or H2 receptor antagonists plus two antibiotics, or proton pump inhibitors (such as omeprazole) plus an antibiotic. The course of treatment is generally two weeks. The widespread use of antimicrobial regimens to treat H. pylori infection has the potential to amplify the problem of drug resistance. Therefore, future research on alternative treatment or prevention strategies, such as vaccine prevention or immunotherapy, is worthy of attention.
