How to prepare baby milk powder in the right way

The health of the baby is the greatest happiness of the parents. The milk powder that the baby eats must not be vague. In addition to ensuring the quality of the milk powder, parents must also master the method of brewing milk powder. In fact, it is very simple to brew milk powder for the baby, but many parents do not have the correct method to brew milk powder for the baby. What is the correct way to brew baby milk powder? Let’s take a look at it next.

1. Sterilize the entire bottle in advance

Every time the baby drinks milk powder, there will easily be milk powder residue, which will breed bacteria over time. Therefore, the bottle should be disinfected regularly. Remove the nipple, wash it, and put it in a pot to boil for 5 minutes.

2. Parents should wash their hands

When feeding your baby milk powder, you should wash your hands thoroughly with soap to prevent your dirty hands from contaminating the milk powder spoon and milk powder, because when filling the milk powder, you will inevitably touch the milk powder bag or spoon, and you will also have to twist the nipple, etc. So wash your hands.

3. Grasp the appropriate water temperature

Since milk powder contains nutrients such as probiotics, overly hot water will destroy these nutrients. Therefore, the water temperature must be controlled, generally around 40 degrees. Parents should drink a little water in advance to test the water temperature before making milk powder for the baby.

4. Master the ratio of milk powder and water

When making milk powder, you must control the ratio of milk powder to water. The normal and reasonable ratio is 30 ml of water to 1 level spoon of milk powder. Therefore, when using a milk powder spoon to fill the milk powder, do not fill it too full, just make it level with the spoon. Remember to add the amount of milk powder you need during the process. Don't forget it. It is not good to put one spoonful less or one spoonful more, as it will easily make the milk powder too thin or too thick.

5. Stir the milk powder

When mixing milk powder, shake the bottle after adding a spoonful of milk powder to allow the milk powder to be thoroughly dispersed. There should be no lumps, otherwise it will be difficult to disperse. Be careful to shake it gently to avoid spilling.

6. Prepare milk powder according to the baby's age

Don’t make too much milk powder when making it, otherwise the baby will not be able to drink it and it cannot be stored. Adults can only drink it or it can be poured away. But be sure not to give it to the baby, otherwise it will cause discomfort to the baby. Generally speaking, babies under 3 months old should drink 60 ml each time, babies under 6 months old should drink 120 ml each time, babies under 1 year old should drink 180 ml each time, and babies 1-3 years old should drink 210 ml each time. It is better to drink 3-4 times a day.
