Symptoms of urinary tract infection in boys

Some babies will suffer from urinary tract infections in the first few years after birth, and if this disease is not treated immediately in a regular hospital, it can cause very terrible harm. Generally, there are no special symptoms when a baby boy suffers from urinary tract infection, so it is easy to cause the disease to be delayed, which will cause the disease to recur. Some male babies with urinary tract infection will experience fever, pale face, diarrhea, vomiting, etc.

Symptoms of urinary tract infection in boys :

1) Neonatal period : mostly caused by bloodstream infection. The symptoms vary in severity, with systemic symptoms being the main ones, such as fever, poor feeding, pallor, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal distension and other non-specific manifestations. Some children may have convulsions, lethargy, and sometimes jaundice. However, the symptoms of local urination are generally not obvious, so we must be vigilant about this disease. For unexplained fever, urine routine examination and urine and blood culture should be performed as soon as possible to confirm the diagnosis.

2) Infancy and childhood : Systemic symptoms are still the main ones, such as fever, mild cough, repeated diarrhea, etc. Urinary symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, and pain become more obvious with age. If a child cries while urinating, urinates frequently, or has persistent diaper rash, this disease should be considered. Jaundice may occasionally occur.

3) Childhood : Lower urinary tract infection usually presents only with urinary tract irritation symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency, and pain when urinating. Sometimes there may be terminal hematuria and enuresis, but systemic symptoms are usually not obvious. Some patients may have hematuria, but proteinuria and edema are usually not obvious.

If you have a urinary tract infection, daily home care is also indispensable. Patients should strive to do the following 4 things :

1. When traveling, riding in a car, or attending a meeting for a long time, remember not to hold your urine and urinate frequently. Holding urine too much will cause the urine to concentrate and irritate the bladder mucosa, leading to illness.

2. The acute phase usually lasts about 1 week. During this period, you should rest in bed. After the symptoms are controlled, you can move around indoors. In the second week, you can gradually transition to half-time or full-time work. In daily life, you should pay attention to the combination of work and rest. Overwork or poor rest after illness may cause recurrence of infection and turn it into a chronic disease.

3. The diet should be light, and eat more fresh vegetables, fruits, etc. that are rich in water, such as watermelon, winter melon, cucumber, fresh lotus root, pear, red bean, etc. Avoid spicy and irritating foods such as onions, leeks, garlic, pepper, ginger, etc. to reduce irritation to the urinary tract. Quit smoking and drinking. Avoid warm foods such as mutton, dog meat, rabbit meat and fatty and greasy foods.

Of course, the most important way to deal with it is to go to the hospital for regular treatment. Only under the guidance of a doctor can you recover your health faster and better.
