Precautions for full moon vaccination

Precautions for full moon vaccination

When a one-month-old baby gets vaccinated, it is important to be careful not to eat raw or cold food. Premature babies and babies with difficult births need to be examined carefully before getting vaccinated. Babies cannot get shots when they have a cold or fever. When a baby gets vaccinated, consult a doctor's advice before getting the shot. Pay attention to the care of the wound after the injection to avoid infection at the needle site, and pay attention to the handling of adverse reactions after the vaccination.

Precautions for full moon vaccination

Taboos are generally divided into two categories: one is temporary taboo; the other is absolute taboo. Premature babies, babies with difficult births, and children who are experiencing fever or in the acute phase of a common illness are considered "temporarily contraindicated". These babies can be re-vaccinated after they recover from the illness. However, if your baby has an immune deficiency or severe allergies, it is an "absolute contraindication". Vaccination may cause abnormal reactions or even endanger life, so vaccination is absolutely not allowed.

Contraindications of BCG: Premature babies, babies with low birth weight (birth weight less than 2500 grams), and babies with difficult labor should be vaccinated with caution. Babies who are experiencing fever, diarrhea, or severe skin diseases should delay vaccination. Babies with tuberculosis, acute infectious diseases, heart or kidney diseases, and immunocompromised babies are prohibited from vaccination.

Contraindications of trivalent polio vaccine: Babies who have diarrhea one week before vaccination, or who have diarrhea more than 4 times a day, or babies with fever or acute illness should postpone vaccination. It is contraindicated for babies with immunodeficiency or who are taking immunosuppressants (such as hormones). Babies who are allergic to milk can take liquid vaccines.

Care for one-month-old babies after vaccination

1. Get enough rest, don't run or jump too much within 2 days, and avoid strenuous activities.

2. Keep the injection site clean and do not scratch it with your hands.

3. Do not take a bath for the time being to prevent local infection.

4. Drink more hot water.

5. Parents should observe the baby's condition at any time.

It is necessary for one-month-old babies to get vaccinations, but not all one-month-old babies are suitable for it. If the baby is feeling unwell at this time, vaccination should be delayed. It is recommended to check the baby's body before giving him vaccination to see if he is suitable for vaccination.
