Identification

(1) Take the solution under [Content Determination] and measure it by spectrophotometry (Appendix V). Maximum absorption should be found at wavelengths of 276±2nm and 317±2nm.

(2) Take 10 ml of this product, add 1 ml of dilute hydrochloric acid, heat to about 80°C, cool, filter, transfer the filtrate to a separatory funnel, add ethyl acetate to extract twice, 10 ml each time, combine the ethyl acetate solutions, evaporate to dryness, add 2 ml of ethanol to dissolve the residue, and use this as the test solution. Take another 3g of Artemisia capillaris reference medicinal material, add 50ml of water, boil for 5-10 minutes, cool, filter, add 10ml of ethyl acetate to the filtrate, and prepare the reference medicinal material solution in the same way. According to the thin layer chromatography method (Appendix ⅥB), 2 μl of the test sample solution and 5 μl of the control drug solution were respectively spotted on the same silica gel G thin layer plate, and petroleum ether (60-90°C)-ethyl acetate-acetone (5:3:2) was used as the developing agent. The plate was developed, taken out, dried, sprayed with 5% potassium hydroxide ethanol solution, and examined under ultraviolet light (365nm). In the chromatogram of the test sample, the same blue fluorescent spot appears at the corresponding position in the chromatogram of the control medicinal material.

(3) Take the Gardenia jasminoides reference substance and add ethanol to prepare a solution containing 2 mg per 1 ml, which is used as the reference substance solution. According to the thin layer chromatography method (Appendix ⅥB), 3 μl of the test solution under [Identification] (2) and the above-mentioned reference solution are respectively spotted on the same silica gel G thin layer plate, and ethyl acetate-formic acid-water (10:2:1) is used as the developing solvent. The plate is developed, removed, dried, sprayed with 5% vanillin sulfuric acid solution, and blown with hot air until the spots are clearly colored. In the test sample chromatogram, a spot of the same color appears at the corresponding position in the reference sample chromatogram.
