How to treat hydrotesticular effusion in children

How to treat hydrotesticular effusion in children

The health status of children will affect the parents' various emotions. Some male babies will have testicular effusion, which makes parents very worried, so knowing the treatment method in advance can easily deal with this problem. Parents should first take their children for basic and further examinations, and then actively cooperate with the treatment, so that the baby can recover as soon as possible.

1. Causes

Hydrocele in children

Hydrocele of the testis in infants and young children is a hydrocele formed when the processus vaginalis vaginalis fails to close before and after birth, which causes the accumulation and expansion of fluid to form a pear-shaped cavity. Some patients with congenital hydrocele have a communicating type of hydrocele because there is a channel connecting the hydrocele cavity and the peritoneal cavity. The fluid can flow back and forth from the hydrocele cavity with changes in body position, and clinically, the scrotum often changes in size.

Long-term chronic hydrocele can have an adverse effect on the blood supply and temperature regulation of the testicles due to the high tension. Severe cases may cause testicular atrophy. If the effusion is severe and affects both testicles, it is likely to affect the child's future fertility. For hydrocele in children, conservative (non-surgical) treatment should be adopted as early as possible for thorough treatment. We use our original Chinese medicine "fumigation, washing and hot compress" therapy for treatment. The treatment is miraculous, safe, painless and has no toxic side effects. It is the best first choice treatment for hydrocele in infants and young children. Therefore, taking safe and effective treatment methods in a timely manner according to the specific situation of the child is the key to avoiding the occurrence of sequelae.

2. How to check

Hydrocele refers to the accumulation of excess fluid between the two layers of the tunica vaginalis of the testis. Most hydroceles have no obvious cause and are called primary hydrocele. Its occurrence and development are slow. The patient may be asymptomatic. Hydrocele caused by scrotal trauma, inflammation or tumor of the testicles and epididymis, and filariasis is called secondary hydrocele. It often has symptoms of the primary lesion.

1. Basic inspection

The testicular hydrocele is soft, elastic and cystic. The testicles and epididymis cannot be touched, and the light transmission test is positive. The hydrocele is located in the groin or above the testicles, with a clear boundary between it and the testicles. When there is hydrocele of the testicular cord, there is a pear-shaped swelling in the scrotum and the testicles cannot be felt clearly. In case of communicating hydrocele, the sac may shrink or disappear when the patient lies down.

2. Further inspection

B-ultrasound examination can further clarify the diagnosis and is of great significance for secondary testicular hydrocele suspected to be caused by testicular tumors.

3. Treatment of effusion

Hydrocele in children

Hydrocele in newborn babies usually disappears on its own before the age of two, so there is no need to rush for treatment. If it does not disappear after two years of age. Then perform puncture and fluid extraction. Most cases do not recur after aspiration.

If the above options do not cure the disease, other treatment options may be considered. Miao medicine believes that kidney deficiency will lead to poor qi transformation and internal retention of water and dampness. When the spleen is weak and the liver is depressed, the meridians will be blocked, and water and dampness will flow down and gather in the anterior genitals. This disease will occur when the three organs are weak. Trauma and infection can easily cause blood stasis and blockage of collaterals, and water retention can also lead to this disease.
