Why do children suffer from ADHD? What factors does ADHD involve?

1. Insufficient amount of brain neurotransmitters. For example, the concentration of neurotransmitters in the brain, such as norepinephrine and dopamine, decreases, weakening the inhibitory activity of the central nervous system and causing children to move more. Therefore, children with ADHD must first consider medication treatment. Parents of children who are not breastfed should be especially aware of this reason.

2. Organic damage to brain tissue. The mother suffers from hypertension, thyroid hypertrophy, nephritis, anemia, low fever, threatened abortion, cold, etc. during pregnancy; the delivery process is abnormal; the child has infection or trauma to the central nervous system within 1-2 years after birth. Such children are prone to ADHD.

3. Genetic factors. Some people believe that congenital physical defects, organ abnormalities, chromosomal abnormalities, parents' mental illness and other genetic factors will affect children's brain function to varying degrees, causing congenital physical defects and thus leading to hyperactivity.

4. Other factors. Improper educational methods and excessive early intellectual development, as well as environmental pressure that far exceeds the child's psychological tolerance, lead to delayed psychological development and reduced self-control. In addition, although excessive intake of artificial colors and foods with excessive lead content may not necessarily lead to lead poisoning, it may cause ADHD.
