The impact of violent education on children

The impact of violent education on children

Traditional Chinese education is relatively strict, advocating strict requirements on children and even using violence in education. The consequences of violent education are very serious and will cause children's physical and mental development to be abnormal. With the development of human society, people pay more and more attention to children's education. After entering the 21st century, people have different opinions on the practice of violent education of children. So, what are the effects of violent education on children?

1. Feeling like a bad kid

If a child is beaten every time he makes a mistake, he will gradually come to think that he is a bad child and can only be corrected by beating and scolding. Such children will lack normal self-awareness in the future. They lack confidence and are extremely inferior, which is very detrimental to the formation of their personality.

2. It is not conducive to the normal psychological development of children

When children make mistakes, parents use beating and scolding to solve the problem. This will make parents form a habit and make them happy to use simple violence to solve problems.

However, normal children often realize their mistakes through reasoning and persuasion, and avoid making the same mistakes again next time. Children who are beaten often cannot realize their mistakes. This cycle will only hinder the normal psychological development of the children.

3. Easy to imitate bad violent behavior

Parents are the first teachers of their children. When faced with problems, if mom and dad use violence to solve them, then when the child has a dispute with his friends, he naturally thinks that only fighting can make his friends obey his ideas. This also explains why juvenile offenders are more likely to appear in families with domestic violence.

4. Children cannot get better reflection

Frequent beating and scolding of children will cause them to have a natural reaction when they face mistakes: fear of the impending beating and scolding, fear of physical pain, and extreme fear of their parents.

Think about it, what is the right thing to do when a person makes a mistake? It should be to reflect on one's own inappropriate behavior, learn lessons, and correct it in time. But for children who are often beaten, their fear overshadows their reflection.

Parents should try their best to be kind. Using violence to educate their children will not only fail to solve the fundamental problem, but will also cause deep harm to the children and ruin their beautiful lives.
