Children with asthma are prone to attacks if parents do not pay attention to care. Asthma is very harmful to children. In the early stages of an attack, there will be symptoms such as itchy nose, itchy eyes, runny nose and sneezing. Since many children cannot express themselves clearly, parents must discover and care for them in time. (I) Premonitions and early manifestations When children are stimulated by allergens, cold air or other triggers, they often first show symptoms of upper respiratory tract allergies, such as itchy eyes, itchy nose, sneezing, runny nose, etc. Infants and young children cannot speak, so they can only rub their noses and eyes, which can be further manifested as itchy upper palate, itchy throat, dry cough and choking cough. These symptoms can often precede an asthma attack, lasting hours or days. (II) Symptoms during acute attack The main symptoms of an acute asthma attack include coughing, sputum or gurgling sputum, wheezing, difficulty breathing, chest tightness, etc. The typical presentation is episodic expiratory dyspnea with wheezing. In mild attacks, paroxysmal cough and chest tightness are the main symptoms. During a severe attack, the child becomes restless, sits up to breathe, shrugs and gasps, has a pale face, flaring nostrils, blue lips and nails, cold sweats all over the body, and cannot speak coherent words. The "three-depression sign" is obvious, with abnormal chest and abdominal movements, thorax bulging, percussion sound is too clear, exhalation is prolonged, and most have widespread wheezing mainly in the expiratory phase. If the airway obstruction is severe, the breath sounds may be significantly weakened, while the wheezing sounds may weaken or even disappear. The heart rate increases, and signs such as distended neck veins and pulsus paradoxus may appear. In severe cases, heart failure may occur, resulting in widespread medium and small bubbling sounds at the lung bases, enlarged liver, and edema. The symptoms of an acute asthma attack can be relieved by bronchodilator treatment or spontaneously within a few hours to a few days. 3.3.3.4.3.4.5.3 ...6.6.7.8.9. During the remission period, children with asthma may have no symptoms and signs, or may only show symptoms of allergic rhinitis. A small number of patients may experience chest discomfort, with or without wheezing in the lungs. Those with long-term recurrent attacks may have symptoms such as emphysema. The above introduces a lot of knowledge about childhood asthma in detail. Especially for many children, once asthma attacks suddenly or even severely, it must occur during an acute attack. So once such childhood asthma occurs, there will definitely be many physical manifestations of the attack. |
