What to do if your child has ADHD?

Many children are prone to ADHD because their parents do not do a good job in educating them. For children with ADHD, education can be provided from many aspects. For example, limit children's TV watching, develop good living habits, and spend more time with other friends.

First, let the children watch less TV and surf the Internet less. Children with ADHD generally cannot concentrate for a long time when studying. They are always making small movements or their minds are wandering. However, they can concentrate for a long time when watching TV, especially TV commercials.

Second, arrange children's daily life reasonably, cultivate good living habits and learning habits for children, and follow regular schedules.

Third, train children’s sensory integration ability. Studies have shown that about half of the children have soft signs of the neurological system, and some children may have visual-motor disorders, spatial position perception disorders, etc. Therefore, parents should also pay attention to training their children's sensory integration abilities at home. The simplest ways include skipping rope, playing ball, swimming, etc. These exercises are simple and easy to perform, and the training effect is also very good. If the family's financial conditions permit, children can also participate in professional sensory integration training.

Fourth, pay attention to the care of your ADHD child and try not to catch a cold while taking medication. Generally, children's ADHD symptoms will worsen when they have a cold, fever, or mental stress. Medication will not have the desired effect during a cold, so you can temporarily stop taking the medication and then resume taking it after the child has recovered from the cold.

Fifth, let children with ADHD have more contact with sympathetic children, participate in some sports, strengthen physical activities, and provide a socialized environment for the children.

Sixth, parents should understand the nature and characteristics of ADHD, be familiar with the specific methods of educating, treating and caring for children with ADHD, and prevent discrimination against them.

Seventh, carry out some simple manual labor and diversified sports activities according to different ages and genders to divert their pathological experiences and pathological behaviors.
