What should I do if my child has bad eating habits?

Many children have bad eating habits, whether it is washing hands before meals or being picky about food, many children do not have this awareness. Parents have a lot to do when it comes to what to do if their children have bad eating habits. This is a long process that needs to be developed slowly.

1. Eating is a big problem. First of all, you need to develop a good habit of eating three meals on time. Children’s biological clocks are easier to develop habits. When it is almost time for dinner, you should guide your children to wash their hands and prepare to eat. If there are special circumstances that require eating earlier or later, explain the reasons and circumstances to your child.

2. Change your bad habits at the dinner table, such as playing with your phone or watching TV while eating. Set a good example and teach your children to do other things only after finishing their meal. My children are now teaching me not to talk while eating.

3. Children are in the growth and development period, and in addition to regular meals, they need snacks and fruits. Again, this should be arranged at a fixed time, preferably between meals, while controlling the intake to prevent children from not being able to eat due to being too full.

4. Control snacks. There are many adults at home, and they will eat a lot when they go out for a walk. This must be coordinated. Snacks should be a reward for children to do something right. Good steel should be used on the blade. Besides, most snacks have little effect on children's bodies.

5. If the child says he is full at the dinner table, you should take him away from the table. If the child gets hungry later, you should be ruthless and refuse him. Educate the child not to eat properly, or he will go hungry. For the sake of long-term stability, short-term sacrifices are necessary. However, you should communicate well with the elders before doing this, as children are very good at defeating them one by one.

6. After all, children are not adults. Sometimes they will rebel and not want to eat. At this time, you can use some appropriate methods, such as competitions, telling small stories related to eating or ingredients. Children's attention is easily distracted and they will soon forget the rebellious thoughts.

7. The last point is, after the child can eat by himself, do not feed him under any circumstances. As long as the child is not doing other things and eats slowly, just wait. Let the child feel that eating is a necessary part of daily life, not something that parents ask him to do.
