What are the early symptoms of autism in children?

The discovery of autism in young children should be based on some symptoms in life. The most common one is prominent speech disorder. Severe patients have slow speech, cannot speak or imitate, and have difficulty in social communication and are unable to integrate into society.

1. Prominent speech impairment

Most children speak very little, and in severe cases they are almost speechless for life. They have a limited vocabulary and even if some children can speak, they are often reluctant to speak and would rather use gestures instead. Some can speak, but their voices are very low or they just repeat monotonous words to themselves. Some children can only imitate what others say, but cannot communicate in their own language.

2. Not able to imitate

"Imitation" is the most important tool for children to learn. Children learn to speak through imitation, and learn to communicate using silent body language, gestures and expressions. But children with autism don't imitate.

3. Language Delay

Most children with mild autism will experience a decrease in speech or even stop speaking for life. Moreover, most children with the disease communicate using gestures and often cannot distinguish between you and me.

4. Difficulty in communication

That is, the lack of tendency to interact and communicate with others. Some children have shown this trait since infancy, such as not being close to their parents, not liking to be held, not stretching out their hands when someone wants to hold them, not actively looking for other children to play with, avoiding others when others want to play with them, not responding to calls, and always liking to act alone and play by themselves.

5. Social Disorders

This is the biggest problem facing children with autism. They are indifferent to things around them, find it difficult to understand other people's emotions and feelings, and are unable to express their own emotions and feelings correctly. Children with autism have a "mind blind" and seem to believe that whatever exists in their own brains also exists in other people's brains, and there is no difference between them. That is, they usually think that their feelings are the feelings of others, but this does not mean that they have no feelings.
