Children's height development chart

Children's height development chart

Babies have a normal height development chart from birth. If it is not within the normal height development chart, it means that the child's height development is too fast or too slow. It may also be due to the height of the father or mother, family genetic factors, etc. You can self-test your child's weight development standard, and all of these must be implemented according to the table.

However, if your baby is not within the normal standard range, then I am really sorry. Children's "growth and development" is a gradual process. If the "growth" stage fails to develop normally, the "development" stage will also be affected. Therefore, before conducting professional sensory training, please promptly help your child adjust his height and weight to the normal standard range through reasonable dietary nutrition. Otherwise, if the previous stage is not smooth, how can we talk about the next stage?

There is a special medical formula for a child's genetic height:

Boy's height = (father's height + mother's height + 12) / 2 cm

Girl's height = (father's height + mother's height - 12) / 2 cm

In addition to height, parents are also very concerned about their baby's weight development. Here are some tips for self-testing weight.

Self-assessed weight development

The length/height and weight ranges listed in the table represent the length/height and weight of babies of different months/ages between the 3rd and 97th percentile on the growth curve, that is, the normal length/height and weight range in the popular sense.

■ Standard formula for measuring infant weight

▲Weight at 1-6 months (kg) = birth weight (or 3 kg) + age in months × 0.6 (kg)

▲Weight from 7 to 12 months (kg) = birth weight (or 3 kg) + age in months × 0.5 (kg)

▲Weight (kg) for 2-10 years old = age × 2 + 7 (or 8)

■Standard growth rules for infants and young children's height

The average height of a full-term baby is 50 cm. It increases by about 25 cm in the first year after birth, so it is about 75 cm at one year old. Thereafter, it increases by an average of about 5 cm each year. Therefore, the height (cm) of a child aged 2-12 years old = age × 5 + 75 (cm). Anyone whose height exceeds the standard by 10% or is less than 10% is considered abnormal.

Baby height growth exercise

Generally speaking, the most effective exercises are jumping, running, high reach, free gymnastics, basketball, volleyball, swimming, skipping rope and pull-ups. Running, jumping, and weight-bearing exercises can mainly stretch muscles and ligaments and stimulate the proliferation of epiphyseal cartilage;

Pull-ups can stretch the spine, stretch it as far as possible, and promote the growth of spinal bones. When swimming, stretching the spine, squeezing the legs, and the buoyancy of the water are very beneficial to the growth of the spine and limb bones.

It should be noted that a person's height is also affected by endocrine. Therefore, do not exercise excessively to avoid affecting sleep and disrupting your endocrine system. In addition, strengthening nutrition is also an important part of making the body grow taller. While strengthening exercise, it is necessary to replenish bone-building materials, gelatin and inorganic salts in a timely and sufficient manner.
