Tonsils are very important immune organs in our body. If tonsillitis occurs, many symptoms will appear, the most common of which is fever. In addition, children will have repeated fevers. You can choose diet therapy to treat it. 1. Dietary treatment for children with tonsillitis (1) Stewed pear, Fritillaria cirrhosa and rock sugar: Peel and core a pear, place 3g Fritillaria cirrhosa into the hollow of the pear, and add appropriate amount of rock sugar. Put them in a bowl, cover it, and stew them in boiling water before drinking. (2) Monk fruit rock sugar tea: one third to half of a monk fruit and an appropriate amount of rock sugar. Put both in a cup of boiling water and drink as tea. (3) Imperata root and sugar cane tea: 20-30 grams of Imperata root and 250 grams of sugar cane. Decoction in water and drink as tea. (4) Candied kelp: 250 grams of soaked kelp, 150 grams of sugar. Rinse the kelp clean, cut into shreds, put it in a pot, add appropriate amount of water and cook it, take it out, put it in a small bowl, mix it with sugar and marinate it for a day. It can be eaten twice a day, 25 grams each time. (5) Puffin stewed with lean meat: 2 puffins and an appropriate amount of lean pork, cook together until cooked, add salt to taste and serve. (6) Bamboo tube bees: 3 to 5 bamboo tube bees, appropriate amount of rock sugar, put in a cup of boiling water and soak for 15 minutes, drink instead of tea. (7) Pomegranate juice: Take 2 to 3 fresh pomegranates, remove the core, cut the pulp, mash it, add an appropriate amount of boiled water, and soak for half an hour. Gargle with the juice several times a day. 2. Treatment of tonsillitis in children 1. General treatment Rest in bed, eat liquid food and drink plenty of water, strengthen nutrition and clear bowel movements. When sore throat or high fever occurs, you can take antipyretics and analgesics orally. Because the disease is contagious, children with the disease must be isolated. 2. Antibiotic Application As the main treatment method. Penicillins are the first choice, and the route of administration is determined based on the severity of the disease. If the condition does not improve after 2 to 3 days of treatment, the cause must be analyzed and other types of antibiotics must be used instead. If conditions permit, antibiotics can be selected based on drug sensitivity tests after the pathogenic bacteria are identified. 3. Local treatment Commonly used mouthwashes include compound borax solution, compound chlorethidine gargle, or 1:5,000 furazolidone solution. Local treatment methods include tonsillar crypt washing, intra-tonsillar drug injection, local spraying, laser treatment, etc. Although these methods can inhibit bacteria and clear lesions, they are relatively painful. Among local external treatment methods, Chinese medicine external plaster therapy is more popular among children. 4. Surgery If acute tonsillitis recurs multiple times, especially if there are complications, tonsillectomy should be performed two weeks after the acute inflammation subsides. 70% of recurrent tonsillitis lesions contain pathogens, and surgical resection is an effective way to completely eliminate latent pathogens. |
