Some newborn girls will have menstrual or leucorrhea-like secretions flowing out of their vagina a few days after birth. Experts often call this phenomenon false menstruation. The mechanism of its occurrence is the same as normal menstruation: the fetus is affected by estrogen in the body (from the mother's blood), causing the vaginal epithelium and endometrium to proliferate. After birth, estrogen is interrupted, and the proliferating epithelium and endometrium will fall off and bleed. These changes are temporary and physiological and do not require treatment. But you must pay attention to care, especially for children with swollen breasts, and never squeeze them to avoid infection.
