What are the signs of baby's growth?

The baby will grow very fast after birth, but parents often hope that their children will develop quickly, especially in terms of their height. In fact, the baby's growth is also reflected in many aspects, not just height. Let's talk about the manifestations of the baby's growth below.

1. Sudden increase in appetite

The child's appetite suddenly improves, he has a strong appetite and always says he is not full, which means he is growing taller. After observing this change, the mother must ensure that the child gets balanced nutrition and sufficient calcium in the diet.

2. Shoes suddenly become smaller

Children grow from the bottom up, so as their feet get bigger, their shoes will naturally become smaller. This is a more obvious sign of growth, and the child also likes to sleep more.

3. Leg pain before going to bed

The child often complains of leg pain after lying down to sleep, but feels nothing during the day and examinations show everything is normal. This situation should be the child's growing pains. Growing pains are mostly physiological pains caused by the rapid growth of children's bones and the lack of coordination with the growth and development of local muscles and tendons. Many children will experience them during their growth process.

The pain is mainly located in the deltoid muscle of the thigh and the gastrocnemius muscle of the calf. It is a non-joint pain. The pain mostly feels like soreness, but may also cause tingling or burning pain. Some children with growing pains may also have symptoms such as calf cramps, headaches, and abdominal pain.

4. Having strange dreams

The human body grows taller when it is sleeping. The pituitary gland secretes a growth hormone to promote growth, making the body grow taller slowly. When you are growing taller, you will usually dream about going down the stairs when you are half asleep, and then suddenly you miss a step. Or if you dream that you are being chased by someone and you run hard but cannot run away, this is because your bones are growing. If your baby has a dream like this, it is very likely that he is growing taller.
