What are the symptoms of decreased vision in children?

If a child has a decline in vision, parents must pay attention and help them correct the problem in a timely manner. You can take your baby to the hospital for a comprehensive examination to understand the vision condition and correct the child's bad sitting habits.

One is the symptom of eye fatigue. It means that when reading, one feels that the words are double or floating. Some people will see brief blurry vision after looking at a nearby object for a long time, or after looking at a distant object for a long time. This is a manifestation of malfunction of the ciliary muscle adjustment, which is caused by eyestrain. As the degree of eye fatigue decreases, the day of onset of myopia is approaching.

The second is the symptom of sensory hypersensitivity. This refers to fatigue hyperesthesia of the eye nerves. Many people also experience dry eyes, burning, itching and eye pain. For some people, the swelling and pain can spread to the deep part of the eye socket, causing headaches, and even pain in the neck, shoulders and back.

The third is the symptoms of systemic nervous balance. Some children will experience bouts of boredom, such as lack of concentration, slow reactions, irritable temper, lack of interest in things they used to like, poor academic performance, frequent dreams, excessive sweating, complex physical fatigue, dizziness, loss of appetite and other symptoms. These are manifestations of the balance of the central and autonomic nervous systems caused by eye fatigue, and are also precursor reactions to the onset of myopia.

It can be seen from this that there are precursor signals before the onset of myopia, but the first thing that appears is not vision loss, but symptoms caused by the imbalance of the nervous system. According to statistics, 40% of the precursor symptoms of myopia are first expressed by the sensitive trigeminal nerve and autonomic nervous system. Therefore, primary and secondary school students and their parents should understand the precursor symptoms of myopia and pay attention to catching the early signs of myopia in order to prevent and treat myopia as early as possible.
