How many months can a baby sit in a walker

When babies grow to a certain age, they will begin to learn to crawl on their own. In fact, this is also the beginning of learning to walk, so many parents will buy them walkers, but it is recommended that babies should not use walkers before they are ten months old.

1. How old can a baby sit in a walker?

Generally speaking, babies can sit at seven and crawl at eight. A nine-month-old baby can learn to walk by holding on to a wall. It is not recommended to use a walker for babies under ten months old. If parents do need to use a walker, please proceed with caution.

There are three conditions that must be met for a baby to use a walker: the head must have sufficient support, the baby must be able to sit up independently, the lumbar spine must be straight, and the baby must be able to walk by himself while holding onto objects.

2. Precautions for using baby walkers

1. Do not use it too early. Using a walker too early will cause the baby to skip the natural growth and development stage of "crawling", resulting in poor body balance and muscle coordination in the future, and prone to sensory integration disorder, manifested as clumsy hands and feet, poor flexibility, hyperactivity, inattention, personality problems (impulsive, willful, bad temper), etc.

2. When using a walker, you also need to pay attention to controlling the time the child stays in the walker. It is best not to exceed 30 minutes at a time. Walkers are best used indoors, away from dangerous items such as stoves and latches. Do not use them near thresholds, stairs, or uneven places to avoid accidental injuries. All parts of the walker must be firm to prevent accidents such as body damage and wheel falling off during collisions. Finally, pay attention to the hygiene of the walker to prevent babies from getting sick through the mouth.
