At what months can a baby walk? Young parents take note!

A newborn baby needs to go through many stages to grow into an adult, such as turning over for the first time, crawling for the first time, standing for the first time, speaking for the first time, etc. These first times all occur in a regular pattern. So when will the baby be likely to learn to walk?

1. It takes about 12 months for a baby to go from lying to sitting, and from crawling to standing. Babies under one year old have incomplete bone and muscle development. If they stand and walk too early, their feet will be overloaded, which will cause damage to their feet, seriously affecting the formation of their feet and causing flat feet. Therefore, experts recommend that parents wait until the baby is one year old before letting the baby practice walking. Letting the child walk too early when the child's bones are not fully developed will affect the child's limb development.

2. When the baby is 10-11 months old, you can practice the baby's ability to stand. This is the first stage for the baby to learn to walk. When the parents let go and the baby can stand steadily, they can start trying to walk!

3. When the baby is 11-12 months old, learning to squat is a compulsory course for the baby. Parents should pay attention to the baby's training of the "stand, squat and stand" continuous action. This is done to enhance the baby's leg muscle strength and train the baby's body coordination.

4. When the baby is 12-13 months old, the baby must learn to walk with support. Mom and dad must take good care of the baby! Slowly let the baby learn to let go of the handrails and take two to three steps, but also let the baby practice squatting and standing to strengthen the baby's balance ability.

5. When the baby is 13-15 months old, the baby can basically walk well, and the exploration of the surrounding things gradually increases. Parents should take the baby to unfamiliar places more often, which can not only satisfy the baby's curiosity, but also train the baby's ability to adapt to different surfaces. Of course, the baby should continue to train the leg muscle strength and the coordination between the body and eyes.
